  1. You can always do a private reception at the plantation...the restaurant is entirely yours therefore you can do just about anything you want...Me and my fiance as well as the bridal party will be introduced by the MC with music...it's $500 for 2hours $1000 for 4 hours.

  2. Hey Ladies-

I thought it would be fun to see what music everyone is choosing for their ceremonies and first dances...

Bridesmaids/Groomsmen walk: Eric Benet & Tamia-Spend My Life

Bridal Walk: Brian McKnight-Still in Love /OR/ Mary J Blige- Give Me You

First Dance: Al Green-Let's Stay together ( not definite yet)

  3. O.K...I absolutely loved you in the dresses from pic 3 and 15...amazing..I'm not really a "poof" kind of girl...these dresses seem light and airy, yet still there is a formal feel to them...beautiful!! You are at the David's Bridal off of Pleasant Hill arent you?? I just realized you were an Atlanta bride like myself...that's where i bought mine!!! :)

Well -- I'd like to meet with Chandlyn while I'm there to ask a couple of questions and get acquainted with the property. We're having about 150 guests...enough said.

Here's the thing: Chandlyn has barely responded to any of my emails trying to set up an appointment. I feel like I'm always chasing her and I know she's busy, but I've heard great things about other WCs at other resorts. I'm feeling a bit frustrated. Can anyone tell me how weddings have gone with Chandlyn coordinating the entire thing? Are brides typically happy with her assistance? Does she just do the bare minimum? Is she there the whole time? Should I hire someone else to help me? (Yes I'm screaming)

Sigghhh...I was thinking I might try to meet with florists, photographers, etc. while there as a back up in case Chandlyn is a no show. I've heard great things about her on this forum, so any feedback is much appreciated :)

I'll keep you posted on how things go!

    Hi Dara!
Chandlyn is typically slow with replying to emails...I havent had my wedding yet to know exactly how she works out during the actual day, but i know she does get bombarded with emails by all of us...so i can just imagine how many emails she gets from ladies who dont know about this site. May i suggest, in addition to emails, get a calling card and give her a call...if I call a couple of times throughout the day, I'm usually able to reach her.

It's looking like we will have about 75-100 guests...it was supposed to be a lot smaller but i guess the more the merrier. I'm definitely starting to get frustrated....it seems like so much to do.
  6. Hey Ladies!!

Does anyone have pics of the following? If so, please post here. I noticed a lot of ladies ask the same questions about pictures (ecspecially plantation reception brides), but they all tend to be scattered amongst numerous threads.

    1. plantation reception photos (both levels if possible)

    2. plantation table setup w/ centerpieces and all...

    3. ceremony location w/ decoration

Feel free to add anything missing...hopefully this will be a great picture board.thewave.gif
