  1. Oh great! I'll check that one out! Guests...probably 50 or so. What other details would be helpful? I was possibly about doing a sunset cruise for the welcome dinner (night before). I think that would be very fun! Thanks for the info!!
  2. So I'm heading out for my site visit over Turkey day and I want to make sure I'm not forgetting any great resorts with Chapels. I've got on my list to check out Pueblo Bonito Sunset and the Sheraton. I just saw on the forum that the One and Only Palmilla has a Chapel but from the comments it looks it may be a bit out of our price range... Does anyone have any other suggestions for resorts that have a chapel onsite?? Also, any other advice for things I should not forget to do while in Cabo for the site visit?? My FI and I are wrapping up a HUGE remodeling project so I feel a bit fried right now with this right around the corner!! Thanks so much for any advice! ~ Shelley

I guess I'll find out more information when we get down there. Gosh I'd LOVE to stop by but we are going over Thanksgiving. Maybe there will be some other brides there around that time??
  4. Just curious, when I requested wedding info from the Dreams website a contract WC contacted me... Not anyone from the Dreams hotel directly, are most of you working with a WC outside of the Dreams or working directly with the Dreams? I'll be headed for a site visit in November!!
  5. Wowza! That does sound VERY nice! I can feel your excitement! Congrats!!I'll have to check it out. Are you using a WC and what weather are you expecting for November?
  6. No, that was for the Sunset.. So I guess that is good pricing for food and drink. We're going for our site visit over Thanksgiving to check out a few of the resorts. What drew you to Villa Del Arco?
  7. This may be a silly question, but are you guys going to get legally married in the US and then have a religious ceremony in Cabo? I'm still confused how this all works because I know that if you want to get legally married in Mexico it's a big ordeal like getting blood tests and all that. Any suggestions here? My FI is Catholic so we do want to get married in a church or chapel. Any advice on how this all works would be greatly appreciated!!

  10. I just inquired about the Rui yesterday and it looks beautiful, but my only concern is that I wanted to have the ceremony at a chapel or church and I didn't see an option for that. Does anyone know the answer to this?
  11. I see... Thanks so much for the info!
  12. Oh, wow... So did you just guess your room number? At this point I'm anticipating 50-60 people but still very unsure. Is Tammy your TA or did you pick someone local?
  13. Just out of curiosity, when you scheduled your site visit, did you just book your own trip through expedia (or another online travel ag) or did you get any discounts from the resort going directly because it's your site visit? I'm looking to scedule my site visit over turkey day...

  15. Hi all, I've just started looking into Cabo and heard some good things about this resort. Apparently it has a very nice quant chapel in the resort and lately I've been thinking about having the ceremony in a chapel/church and the reception on the beach or hotel terrace. Has anyone else looked into this resort or have any experiences with it? Any suggestions? Thank you!!
  16. I'm newly looking into Cabo too and haven't decided on a destination. Have you heard anything about Pueblo Bonito Los Cabos? I haven't seen anything on the forum about it...

Loving it more and more... I'll be anxious to hear how your site visit goes!! Just out of curiosity, are you going to visit any other resorts while you are there or have you pretty much decided on the Dreams?
  18. This is kind of random... But has anyone ever looked into getting married in Italy, Positano?? It may just be too expensive but since the flight time/cost of the plane ticket isn't too far off from Hawaii just thought I'd look into it...
  19. Thanks for the info! Yes, we love those dive spots as well.. It's so funny because I've met people who dive all over the world but still prefer Cozumel and it's so close and inexpensive...

Yes, at this point I'm still taking notes and keeping my options open as far as locations go. Looking forward to searching the site more!
  21. Wasn't aware of that but very good to know when I start looking at dates. Thanks for the info!
  22. Thanks and good to know! I'll definitley keep that in mind!!
  23. Hi, I've just started the wedding research... Destination, really unknown, however I've been looking into Kauai, Hawaii, it's so beautiful, my fiance surfs and I'm a beginner, and we love to dive! Date, next summer but no exact day yet. At this point just looking forward to getting as much info as possible and hopefully I'll be making some decisions in the near future! Shelley A little more info.. I'm thinking about 20-30 guests, family and close friends, so not too big of a crowd...
