We've got the following going on in addition to OOT bags/embroidered beach towels. Saturday Welcome Gathering at the resort's main bar Sunday Golf event for the guys, organizing but not paying "Rehearsal/Welcome Dinner" Monday Wedding with cocktail reception/dessert buffet to follow Working on some group departure meal/brunch, but unsure at the present time. As far as any other excursions, I'm just going to include info on what there is to do in an email to our guests about a month prior to the big day!!! if it works for a bunch of us to go as a group, that's great. If not, that's great too. I know a lot of our guests plan to do nothing more than lay on the beach, suck down drinks, and relax!!!

7. Undetermined Gazebo -- Looks like smaller all white gazebo located on a pathway in the resort somewhere. Can't find any more info... According to Kelly (married there a few years ago,) it was along the path to the casitas before you reached the casitas section with a pool/swim-up bar behind it. My guess is that this one no longer exists... I was not offered this location from the wedding coordinator. I included it for the sake of completeness. Let me know if you know anything more about this location. Sorry, no pics except private ones that have been shared with me. PM me if you really need to see some or have more info/pics we can add to this post. ALL INDICATIONS ARE THAT THIS GAZEBO DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE!!!

6. Casitas Gazebo - beach location with some foliage, between casitas blocks 27/28 DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THIS ANYMORE IF IT EXISTS AT ALL. MUCH CLOSER TO THE PATHWAY AFTER THE STORM AND ROOM FOR 10 GUESTS OR LESS!!! Damaged in recent storm, but supposed to be fully fully rebuilt and avaialable by mid-October '07. Seems to be a very, very popular location and the one I've seen the most pictures from. To clear up any confusion, there are sandbags in the ocean at this spot, which were added within the past year or two. Have several pics of this one. Please PM me with any more info or pics we can add to this post.

4. Garden Gazebo - located back off of the beach, large fancy looking gazebo with large area for guests/reception, behind bldg 5. Also referred to as "Mexican Gazebo" at times... Has an area for cocktail reception immediately asjacent to it. No view of the ocean if that is important to you. Have several pics of this one. Please PM me with any more info or pics we can add to this post.

2. Presidential Gazebo - Lots of foliage, looks like small area for guests, unsure of exact location. This one doesn't appear to have an icon on the map above, but I'm assuming from the name that it must be near the Presidential Suites. Here's the only picture I've seen of this one. Please PM me with any more info or pics we can add to this post.

Wedding Locations at EDR (listed from south to north) -- left to right on the map below BLDG 55 Gazebo - most secluded/basic gazebo, south end of resort near bldg 55 Presidential Gazebo - Lots of foliage, looks like small area for guests, unsure of exact location. Chapel - Beautiful indoor location seats up to 80 Garden Gazebo - located back off of the beach, large fancy looking gazebo with large area for guests/reception, behind bldg 5 White Beachfront Gazebo - next to salt water pool in front of Bldgs 1/2 Casitas Gazebo - beach location with some foliage, between casitas blocks 27/28 NO LONGER EXISTS DUE TO HURRICANE, or if it does can only fit about 10 people... Undetermined Gazebo -- Looks like smaller all white gazebo located on a pathway in the resort somewhere. Can't find any more info... According to Kelly (married there a few years ago,) it was along the path to the casitas before you reached the casitas section with a pool/swim-up bar behind it NO LONGER EXISTS! New Gazebo (forget the name) -- A bit further down the beach from the old casitas gazebo listed above and quite similar to it... Solitary gazebo on the beach with ocean (and sandbags) in background

Figured it would make sense to post a separate thread with all of the info we have on this. Seems as if it would be useful to any couples getting married down there. I'll try to keep it organized and to the point. Let's try to keep any posts here specifically on the topic of wedding locations only. If you have any specific information which should be added to this top post, please PM it to me and I will make sure to add it. You can also feel free to PM me additional info/pics which I will insert under the appropriate post by location.

Will let you know when I get pictures, although I'm still not sure how to post... Hot off the presses MORE info from Valeria... Better news this time... As soon as I have new photos of the gazebo locations, I promise you will have those. I don't consider necessary to change the Gazebo Location...since we have been announced that the gazebos will be ready the second week of October, And your wedding is, a month and a week away from that date...but of course I will send you the updated photos and you can reconsider changing.

But I am interested to see what will happen if this issue is not even addressed with Lomus. - We shall see But to be honest - I'm not that worried about it. I think you should just find the photographer/videographer you really want, and then deal from there. This topic has been discussed ad nauseum. I think the consensus is to put your photographer on the guest list, and to see what happens. The "3 day rule" has never been enforced from what I have read or seen. Nobody at Lomas has officially asked us a thing about the wedding photographer. They did mention leaving time for the photographer during our timeline for the wedding day. I simply told them that we weren't planning on using a photographer from the resort, and that our guests would be takng plenty of pictures... :-) Nothing more was said. And if they try to make an issue of it when we're there and mess with my future wife... THERE WILL BE HELL TO PAY!!!

Let's see if this works and I can post a map here...

She should be able to answer that pretty easily.

I really dont want them in my pictures, Excellent news then. I wish that was the case for the casitas gazebo since we like it so much better and it will be close to where our room is... Oh well, they're there for a reason and most of the better phtographers I see, fade them into the water anyway... Maybe we'll hop in a golf cart and head down that way for some pictures after our ceremony... or shoot our mornign after pics down that way... Best of both worlds!

It's on teh south side by the fence for the ceremony or you can have it in the jungle area.. I am moving mine down by the water.. they will work with you on that also.. I will let you know how mine goes.. Sorry to tell you this, but there's sandbags at that area... Check out the map below. Maybe you aren't having it by the Beach Bar or I misunderstood something else... The Beach bar is right near Jo-Jos near the pier that goes out into the water... Click here for Google Maps. Beach Bar location is basically right in the middle.
