Jessica - Great info! My fiance (soon to be!) and I are thinking about St. Thomas. I looked at the Marriott (Frenchman's Reef) since my mom owns a Marriott timeshare and could trade in (provided there are no immense restrictions and such...blah!), it wouldn't cost my family much to stay there. However, I will definitely look to contacting a travel agent/wedding coordinator (like the one you suggested) to see what options are out there. I never even thought about the cruise ship scenario! Hmmm...should look into that! I hear you, Amy, on the cost of flying to St. Thomas as opposed to Mexico. Ay Carumba! Good luck, Catherine, on your planning! Thanks gals! I'm so glad I found this site! I will definitely be bugging all of you soon for advice. The boy and I are throwing ideas around and seeing if anything sticks. We're planning on inviting family and close friends so we'll need to do the research on places that can accommodate a small group (well...a 25-30 person, relatively rowdy group). The engagement should be soon (or at least I gently mentioned to my loving boyfriend that it better be soon) and I will divulge the details once it happens - provided its more than "Well, babe, here's your ring. Go call your mom."

Hey Everyone! I'm almost engaged and my intended and I are planning on a May 2008 wedding (May 31st...our 5 year anniversary!). We're thinking of having a destination wedding and I just found this site today. We haven't picked a destination so hopefully I'll get some good ideas here! Shannon
