Thanks for the info! I'm not sure if bringing our own photographer is really feasible for us unfortunately. Financially speaking we can't spend $3,000+ US, resort fees, travel etc etc on photography when we're already spending so much on the vacation/wedding etc. Anyhoo, from what I've been able to find on the photographer's website and by doing some general research, the pics aren't exactly what I'd hoped for (a little too posed for my liking), but hopefully if I'm specific enough with my requests and have our family take some pics too, I'm sure we'll get some really nice shots. If they're absolutely terrible, I'll don my dress again and have a local photographer take some nice pics by the lake here! Anyway, once I'm married, I'll be able to post some resort photographer pics for future EDR brides!

Hello Ladies! Does anyone have any personal experience with the resort photographer at the El Dorado Royale? For those who are getting married there, what are you doing...bringing your own photographer or using the resort's?

I know, what a silly idea...I know it matches the dress, but a gigantic feather?! Strange... Perhaps she was so hungry that she ate the actual bird...haha!

Hey everyone! I'm getting married at the EDR on July 12th! So far, trip advisor has been my best resource for general information about the resort. The wedding coordinator Faith is also really helpful and she was happy to answer any questions I had (even prior to us booking a date and travel). I think Lomas Travel is the company that takes care of all the weddings etc. down there. I've found some information there as well regarding packages, extras, fees, photography etc etc. They have a website, I just can't remember what it is right now...google Lomas travel and you should find it.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Planning so far is going well. Mainly we've just decided on the location and I've purchased my dress. We'll be sending out invites within the next month for our AHR, and we're having 12 people join us down there and we're so excited about that!

Wow! I'm a noob to this site and am soooo excited to find so much information on this resort! We're getting married at the EDR on July 12th! I haven't really started planning the wedding so far, but I am really curious as to how good the resort photographer is...there is a website showing some of their pics, but I see that they are mostly "posed" shots, while I prefer the photojournalistic style. Anyway, if anyone has any resort photographer pics, I'd love to see them!
