Your pictures are so gorgeous!!! And you make such a beautiful, beautiful bride! I also thought the flower girl was absolutely adorable! Did Claudia also do a slideshow or any type of highlights video for you? Or did she just give you the digital photos and prints?

Yep - other than the haggling, I am getting SO excited! Just got the rest of my OOT items today. Now we just have to make copies of our reception CD for everyone and we're just about finished and ready to go!

Who knows? We've paid everything up to this point, so if she says that we still need to pay for all of this stuff, we will. I'm just tired of being nickeled and dimed on everything, but there's not much else I can do at this point.

Grrr. I think I'm down to the last minute details w/ EDR and this darn photography issue is driving me nuts. We agreed to pay the $500 vendor fee. So, that's been paid and I thought the issue was over. I notified Monica to tell her that my photographer will be bringing two associates w/ her (one of whom is the videographer). At first, Monica indicated that I might have to pay ANOTHER $500 fee for the videographer (who is associated w/ my photographer, mind you), but then she let that drop. But now, she told me that since we will be counting them as our guests in our "free" wedding dinner at El Cocotal and having them at our mini-private party afterwards ($8.00/person), we also have to get day passes for all of them! So, if I'm understanding her correctly, she wants me to pay $500 for the fee (at least one $500 fee so far), $72.00 for each guest pass (3), and $24.00 for three people at the private party. Ugh!!! I sent her an email to clarify all of this, but I am fuming.....and feel kind of defeated at the same time........

Very nice! Subtle, yet classy and sexy.

I did just find this site and it looks like a winner so far, though!

For those of you who will be giving (or who gave) CDs of your reception music, what did you do about the CD label and cover? Ideas? Pictures? I've found a few websites, but wanted to find out the least expensive (and easiest) w/out doing it myself way to do it!

I only got 13 right!

Ditto! But this forum really has been my lifesaver! The reason I stopped going to the Knot's message boards was b/c it took forever to load, had too many pop-ups, and I couldn't find my way around too easily. If it was more user friendly, I might have relied on it a bit more, but I have found that BDW is all I need!

I just got a response back from Monica regarding the pizza/burger place:
"Yes, it was burne[d], I do not remeber if was lat week or the week before, but not to worry, the hotel is working on it and it will be ready by your holiday [April 20, 2008]."
So, good news, hopefully!

I think it's unanimous.....no pantyhose!! :-)
-
I was just reading the packing list and noticed that pantyhose was one of the items on the list. Are we supposed to wear pantyhose w/ our wedding dress? I'm wearing open toed shoes, so I didn't think so......

I just spoke to an international FedEx representative and told her what we wanted to ship. She said that she wouldn't do it and advised to take our stuff on the plane. She said that Mexico is very, very picky and one item (especially toiletries or medication or stuff made in China) could cause the whole package to get returned. On top of that, the rates to ship it could be as high as $200 and that's not including the customs taxes and fees. She also said that even if it did make it through customs, it could be delayed days or even weeks.
-
I was just going to ship via FedEx. Monica told me that we have to understand that if items get damaged during the shipping or customs check process, that the hotel is not liable.....but it's FedEx.....it should be ok, right?

Has anyone shipped their OOT supplies to EDR? I asked Monica about this and she said that I can ship it directly to her. Did anyone get charged extra for this? Did you get your package when you arrived? I'm a bit nervous b/c we have a LOT of stuff to ship - maybe two boxes worth and we don't want to worry about packing all of this stuff in our suitcases.

I took the wording for our Welcome Letter from Lenita (andreslove). She had said to feel free to copy it, so I did! I am so NOT creative, so this forum has been a true Godsent in my planning process!

Here's what I'm having (see below):

Hmmm.....was the $7.00 for just the chairs over the number of chairs that are included in your wedding ceremony? I believe that 12 chairs are included in your package - chair covers for those and any extra chairs is an additional cost. However, if you were quoted a price of $7.00/chair + chair covers and you have evidence of that, you can fight that. I negotiated the cost of the chairs and chair covers with them and received a reduced rate. When it came time to pay for everything, they forgot about the negotiated rate, but I had the email backing it up. Unfortuantely, EDR does not budge too much on their costs....because people simply pay. It's a shame, but part of the wedding game. Just try to negotiate whenever you can and keep detailed emails and records of everything. Trust me - it will make the process go much more smoothly.
