WOW that dress is stunning! I love it! I think it is perfectly beautiful! What do you have planned between the ceremony and cocktail/dinner? I just found out that we will also have some down-time and trying to think of what to do?
But, LOVE the dress!

I found the cutest beach tote bags at the Dollar Tree! I have a pic, but can't find the cord to connect with my computer...but I'll explain them.
They come in different colors and are really awesome! On the bottom right corner is a decal (done pretty well!) of a girl sipping a drink while a boy is playing a guitar under palm trees....one is with surfboards (for the boys), one is with 2 empty beach chairs by water...They were only a dollar and I promise I will post pictures as soon as I find my cord!!!
Check them out if you have a Dollar Tree by you!

that is a great article! I am NOT a morning person, but I had to take my FI to work this morning...I decided to get a cup of coffee and go to the ocean. I saw 3 dolpins and a 4ft shark less than 10 feet from the water's edge! It was beautiful watching the sunrise....I thought about how much I take the early morning for granted! I want to start getting up earlier and doing this, maybe running on the beach!!

Whoo Whoo! Christine! Those pics look great! I'm sure your FI will love them! That is a great idea! Also will be fun to look back in 20 years and be able to say, "yeah, I was smoking hot!" heheee

HA! I have you all beat!
My FI's family friend actually mentioned that our date we chose for the wedding wasn't good because her kid was still in school! Um.....hello..you weren't invited and we are not changing the date so your kid can come to Cancun! Can you believe it? She actually asked if the date was set in stone or if we were thinking about having it a week later!
Needless to say, I flat out told her, that we didn't want children at the wedding and purposly chose that date because school is still in session!
It still makes me both laugh and steam out the ears!

That dress is SO pretty! Haha! You fell victim to the whole poofy dress too! I know exactly how you feel! That dress that you picked is really similar to the one I am going to wear!! That is great that you had so much fun picking dresses!!!

Welcome!! I am getting married at RIU Palace Las Americas (just next door to the RIU Cancun)! Let me know if you need any help with the resort if you choose there. Most of my guests are staying at the RIU Cancun!

The other girlies are right about trying every style. I had picked a very simple beaded gown and when my mom came, she was happy with what I chose....but we had given ourselves a couple hours to dress shop, so for fun, we decided to try on "poofy" dresses. I came out of the dressing room, and my mom started crying...I looked at myself and was blown away!!! I got that dress instead! Totally unlike my origional taste in dresses! I still love it!!
You will know when you find the right one....in the meantime....have fun shopping! One of the best things about being engaged!!
Good luck!

Yeah, I really don't know/care about diamonds. My engagement ring is actually blue topaz with tiny diamonds. It is really contempory and that color blue is my favorite color. I was going to switch it to my right hand since my wedding band wont match (doesn't matter either). I figure why spend so much on something I don't know much about or appreciate yet. I like the idea of getting my ring for an anniversary!

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah....real= lots of $$$, fake= $17.
Then I can go for a really big one!! heheee....at least 2 carats!
just kidding!

So, we are getting married May 19th and moving to a new state shortly after. Both my FI and I are pretty much living paycheck to paycheck and we still haven't gotten our wedding bands yet!
Question: What do you think about the idea of getting me a "fashion" wedding band (they sell them at Dillards and they are pretty) for now, and then us buying my REAL ring after we are settled into our new house? It looks just like a wedding band, but made of cubic zirconia (sp?).
Reason I'm asking is the ring I am looking at will be about $1,500 and I am nervous about taking it to Mexico anyhow without getting it insured and all.... I don't mind sporting a fake for a while till we get on our feet. What do you think abou this?

My WC said that the doctor will do it in our hotel room the day we arrive. But we have opted to just do the symbolic ceremony for other reasons...I am pretty sure that they take care of it. It is part of their package deal, I believe.

I am getting married at RIU Palace Las Americas in Cancun in about a month and a half. I asked the WC if I needed to sign a contract, and she said not to worry....we will do that when we arrive. I was a little freaked out at first, but now I am thinking that I will be picking the cake, flowers, and some other details when I get there. So, maybe I can't sign a contract if we are still deciding on what to add to the wedding...does that make sense? Should you still ask for a contract regardless? What details should be on it?

I have been racking my brain to figure out what we should do for our welcome lunch that would bring everyone together and get to know eachother better.
I thought about sending those who are attending a questionaire. They will fill it out with fun facts about them. Then we at lunch we will give everyone little cards to write on for them to guess who belongs to which fact.
Everyone will hold up their cards, and the person who's fact belongs to them will stand up (and if a story is needed to explain, even better!)
Ex. who's favorite food is spinach? Aunt Jean!
Ex. Who has traveled to 15 different countries? Jennifer!
Make the questionaire silly and fun and the person who matches the most wins!
I hope that makes sense! Just a thought for a way to get to know everyone.

I agree. I always didn't like that aspect of weddings. Last year at my cousin's wedding my sister (25) caught the boquet and a 10 year old boy caught the garter. Needless to say, both were not too keen dancing with eachother. I thought it was pretty funny though!
I'd say, scratch it too.

At home teeth whitening systems….??
in Beauty, Exercise, Diet
Posted
I read in an article somewhere that all teeth whitening do a good job. The difference between at-home and at the dentist is the percentage of the active ingredient that whitens them (off hand, I don't know the chemical)....but they said that the crest strips have something like 7%, and the dentist has something like 25% of the whitening agent. They also said that name brand and generic that have the same percentage will do the same job. Not that you must buy a namebrand kind.
I could be wrong...but that is what I read...any dentists out there!?
