  1. Dreams Cabo is VERY quiet in the evenings.. everyone is back at their room getting ready or already at the restaurants eating at that time. There will probably be people walking around the resort enjoying themselves but nothing to worry about..

yes it does suck to end the party so early because time flies by BUT you can continue the party at the lobby bar or out by the fire pit near the lobby bar, go into town to continue the party or just may find yourself exhausted and looking for some alone time with your new hubby! :)

Takes forever for me to go anywhere!

This is the furniture we bought, but w/o the hutch. It is solid wood and super heavy. We scratched it to make sure none of the finishing would come off, just in case Noah decides to teeth on it w/o me knowing.

This is our bedding, should be here next week!

And, we also bought a Sealy mattress. It exceeds the Consumer Reports safety list and some other safety list. I can't remember the name of it, so I can't post a picture. It's still in Jay's truck, so I will post it later.

Oh and we registered yesterday too! That was kinda stressful!

Mo, I hope you are doing well!
They have little sticker things (think band-aid) that you can put over your belly button if it pops and you don't like it.. lol funny but true

I'm thinking Noah "likes" your left side and that's why he kicks.. he gets more oxygen when you're on your left (or so they say). That's why if you haven't felt the baby in awhile you should lay on your left side (or switch positions if already there). My baby girl loves it, she also loves brownies and ice cream. lol (both make her kick like crazy)

Love the bedding! and LOVE the furniture! We also didn't go with a solid frame because we wanted to use bumpers (at least at first before she squirms to the outside then we may remove). We did the fingernail thing too on the beds in the store to see how soft the wood was and to see if it scratched easily. Beautiful stuff!

I did a majority of my registry online based on reviews and suggestions from the BDW moms.. I used it like a shopping list for myself but then added items when we went into the store. I think our wedding registry was tougher because at least this stuff is "for the baby" and not just me and my DH. lol
  3. A great way to keep your sanity and keep track of great ideas as you see them is to cut and paste into a word document. You can even copy a link from the page so it's easy enough to refer back to. I can't tell you how many times I found a great idea, then spent hours a month or so later trying to remember where I saw it. :)

    Have fun planning!

  4. It's never too early to "shop" but I wouldn't commit or purchase until closer to your date..

Regarding your color choice.. if you're having a hard time finding dresses in that color it's just asking for additional stress when you try to get them for your out of country girls. (IMHO) They should be able to get measured at a shop and use those measurements for ordering their dresses, but again, wait til closer cuz people can change allot in a year.

    Problem #3:
And this may be a question for Apple directly. How do I install my old iTunes account on the new Mac?

    Thanks for your help.
Did you make a backup of your songs onto DVDs? The songs aren't stored in your "account" They're stored on the hard drive of your computer.

    Ok, Problem #1:
I have a SmartParts digital picture frame that I am trying to download pics to. How do I get the pics from my Mac to the frame? I can't figure it out.
Your frame should have a USB plug... plug into your Mac and an icon should appear on your desktop.. you can then click and drag your photos onto this icon. (Or double click on it and it will open like folder for you to drag your images onto).
  7. The other thing you want to watch out for are per print prices.. some photographers include high resolution digital images that you can have printed yourself (like in a photobook/or enlargements).. other more traditional photographers charge a fee per image to get prints. (That's one thing I noticed between some photographer's prices.)

Neither is better than the other but something to be aware of.

Ha! I'm from WI we had tornado drills, not earthquake drills. :)

Oh, by the way, I've since learned you aren't suppose to get under the desk, you're suppose to get next to your desk (If it's bad enough to do so.) The desk may get crushed and it will create a pocket next to the desk.

Too bad my office is almost all glass I'd probably die from glass shards before the ceiling crushed me. We're on the top floor. :)

Don't stand in a doorway either (I knew that one).. it tends to collapse on the people standing in it.

Catherine, I'm sure you're fine to go outside but don't run outside during an earthquake. Many people are seriously injured by bricks and stuff falls off of roofs/buildings.
  9. Hi girls.. everyone in CA is fine.

There was no major damage.. I'm working in Malibu and we felt it here.. it seemed to last forever! (20 seconds or so) My co-workers made fun of me for getting under my desk but once stuff started falling off my shelf, I figured it was my duty to protect my baby bean! :)

It was felt all over Southern CA so pretty big shaker. I haven't felt any aftershocks.

  10. Our frame had several panes of glass. I took clear tape and taped off the two outside panes so only the inside was open. The sand is very fine and poured very easily into the correct spot. When I got home I took off the tape.. in fact I brought extra tape and taped over where the sand was to keep it in place for the travel home. Worked out well.

  11. I think traditionally the MOH is more sentimental and the BM speech is funny.

Making it personal is very important. Like someone else mentioned a story on how you met or how you know each other or if you're family, a memory of dressing up or pretending you're married when your little...

Then maybe about how she and her DH met and maybe something she said to you about them when they first started dating.

I would stay away from all the poems and quotes and just keep it from the heart.

My MOH speech was her telling Matt "I'll tell you at your wedding" what she and I discussed one night when we first started dating. Never did she think at that point we'd actually be married (it was only a month into our relationship). She actually remembered our conversation and told everyone what she said to me that night so many years ago. It was very sweet and made me feel very loved.

  12. Just a thought for those who's home value has dropped (I'm guessing everyone that owns), we wrote a letter to our tax assessor to have our home value adjusted to a lower amount in turn lowering our tax rate for the year. May seem silly to do but the house will be reassessed when we sell and as much as I'd like to stay in denial about how much it's gone down in value, it helps to save a few hundred a year on the taxes we owe.

In fact, yesterday in the mail I received an offer from a company that would do the same thing I did for free, but they were charging $95 for the service.

We were planning on moving this year or next but instead have chosen to buckle down and stay 5 more years until things sort themselves out. We have an interest only loan that resets next year but thank goodness we bought a house (tiny) that we could afford and didn't listen to them when they tried to lend us $150,000 more than we asked for. We're going to try to refinance in the next few months pending on rates.
