  1. No we did not stay at ERC during our site visits. 1st time we stayed at the El Dorado Royale and the next time at the Le Meridien in Cancun. We had also visited Azul Beach and Occidental Grand in Aruba. What sold us on ERC was the pools, rooms, brands of spirits/beer and just overall beauty of the property. Plus, read Tripadviser.com and see the consistantly great reviews.

Yes, I do have pictures but I don't know how to send them to you on herehuh.gif lol. Do you want me to e-mail you some?

I am worried about the photographer and really want to go with someone else but Troy isn't much of a poser and think it would be a little much for him.. I'm still considering to upgrade though.

  2. Oh, planned activities. We have nothing planned as of yet. We have done the ruins before with the zip line which was great. This time I am considering Isla Mujeres (spelling?) but really don't mind not leaving the resort at all. I also want to do the short snorkeling trip right from the hotel. Also want to walk along the beach to Puerto Moreles for some shopping and bar hopping.

    What about your activities?

  3. Hi Denise,

Congrats to you also.. Ariadna has been great to work with. We are having the ceromony at noon on the beach. Cocktail hour with the Carribean Trio on the beach and then a plated dinner off the lobby. We chose flowers, menu (with Ariadnas suggestions) and are probably going with the house photographer. We've decided to go with the gold package and upgraded to the Honeymoon suite, Can't wait. This place is amazing and I love the fact that the reviews on TA are consistantly great. Please let me know how everything goes for you. Have a great time and if there is anything that I may be able to answer for you, ask away.

  4. We've decided and the Excellence Riviera is best suited for us. We were there on a site inspection in Nov. 06 and also considered Aruba and St. John. ERC made it an easy decision. Sept. 1st we'll be married after 15 years together. We've met with Ariadna (wedding planner of ERC) and she has been wonderul. She's been in constant tough via/ e-mail and meeting with her again in May to finalize things. Any help on our end or adivise I could give on your end please ask.

  5. We are having an 11am ceramony and will only have the mariachi band during reception and cd/ipod music during the brunch. We figured we'd be back in our suits and in the pool by 2 (staying at Excellence Riviera). We'll have about 40 close friends/family members with us. I'm still looking for advise on CD's or song list that would be good during brunch.

  6. Congratulations Loretuke on picking the ERC. The place is beautiful. We leave at the end of Jan. to look at the Aruba property but am thinking the ERC will be the place for us. Your website is great, how long does it take to put something like that to put together?

  7. we sent out our STD's exactly 1 year before the date of Sept. 1st, 07. We were able to tour the ERC and going to Occidental Aruba for a site inspection Jan. 25th. When we return, we'll send out a reminder including destination, travel agent info., passport info. etc. Out of about 40 couples, we already have about 20 that are committed. My HTB sais it's our day don't worry about others. I wish I new how to set up a web-site, That sounds like a great idea.

  8. Thanks you guys. looking forward to this site as I've been an avid reader of tripadviser on the two properties I'm considering. In about 6 weeks all the wedding plans begin. We'll have about 25 couples attending.

  9. Getting married Sept. 1 2007. Looking at Excellence Riviera and doing a site visit at Occidental Grand Aruba next month. It will be between the two. We really liked the Excellence property in the Riviera Maya. I'm new to this site and will take me a little time to get familiar with it. Hello to all.
