I just want to do a review of our FANTASTIC photographers Michelle and Justin Stevens of Artistique Photographie! We were emailing back and forth with them before the wedding and they had the BEST response times! They were so friendly and really made sure that they knew exactly what we wanted for our big day. We met up with them before the wedding day to meet for the first time and they could not have been more amazing, super easy to get along with-we knew we had made the right choice in bringing our own photographers. On the wedding day, Michelle showed up at my room to take pictures of me and my girls getting ready while Justin went to meet the boys- im so glad that we were able to have 2 photographers, i got to see what my husbands day was like on our wedding as well as we got so many different angles of everything. My hubby and i have never really been into being in photos, and we thought we would feel kind of awkward, but they were really great at directing us and making us feel at ease. They stayed with us the entire day and they must have been exhausted but they were still willing to get up before sunrise a day later to do a trash the dress shoot and it was so much fun! I cant wait to see the pictures. I even gave them a list of pictures that i had seen weeks in advance and they carried them around to make sure they got them! I have seen a few teasers so far and i am so happy- the pictures look amazing with a good mix of candids and posed so for anyone considering using them, you will not be disappointed. We did a photography share and for what was included, we couldnt believe it. Thanks again Michelle and Justin for capturing our special day!

those shoes are super cute! If youre still looking for white ones i bought mine from zappos.com. I bought fuschia but saw tons of white. They even give you free shipping if you want to return them! Good luck!

Is there anyone who can tell me what is a good time to have a reception for a 4pm mid april wedding ceremony. Is 7pm too late? Also, we want to get a mariachi, when did any of you have them come to the reception. During dinner? during dancing? I really want one cause they look super fun but i want to have time to do all the dances and stuff. Also, last question, what time does jaguars open?

For anyone getting married in april, we are sharing a photog with another bride at the barcelo, but they would go to other resorts. Contact Artistique Photographie for pricing and availability but they are great and its 2 photogs instead of one. They are really affordable and do beautiful work.

We are getting a ton of photography done so ours would be more im sure but just ask them what they would charge you for what you want and im sure its going to be a great deal. I did a ton of research before booking them, im not from where they're from either but their work is great and its 2 photogs for waaaay less than anywhere else ive been! Hope they can help you out!

We are using Artistique Photographie and they have been amazing so far. Correspondence has been quick, they've sent me peoples photos to look through that were taken at our resort and they are great! Another bride and i are sharing them In april , my wedding is the 15th and the other bride is somewhere around the 25th, so if anyone was in that time period, they are already there! Check out their blog, they have some great photos. Its also 2 photographers where as some places make you pay extra for that! Good luck finding a photog and with all your other planning too!

When I decided to change to a destination wedding I had a friend who was coming to the wedding who could take pictures in Mexico for me and because of that I decided to keep my photographer here at home, but have him for the day of my AHR ($400 deposit is already paid). So long story short - the photographer friend can no longer come to the wedding and I can't afford to pay for a photographer and package here at home AND purchase another expensive photo package down in Mexcio. Not sure what it would cost you but were getting married a few days after you, our photogs that are coming may be able to give you a good rate cause they will already be in the area? hey ladies! Ive read some bad reviews on the barcelo spas hair and make up and was wondering how any other brides that used them felt about their hair and makeup on their wedding days...any pointers etc... Also, does anyone know of some hair and makeup people that arent super expensive but phenomenal?? I have no idea where to look! Thanks!

Hi Ladies!!! Just a question about hair and makeup at the Barcelo. I have read some bad reviews and was wondering how all the other brides found their makeup and hair after using the spa there? Any pointers? Also, for outside vendors, anyone have any recommendations for hair and makeup artists that wont cost a fortune? ThankS

They are there for a wedding the week after yours so im sure if you asked them you could get a great quote! So exciting, congratulations!!
