I just got back from my wedding on December 5th, and I have to say that it was everything I dreamt of and then some more.  We had 59 guests join us for the celebration.  I debated between resorts and after working with Nanda from Beach Bum Vacation, she pointed me in the right direction by recommending this resort.  Nanda was great in organizing the travel for our guests and everyone made it there without any issues.     When we first walked up, I was blown away with the lobby because it is jus

Pros: Stunning grounds, professional staff, upscale/well maintained, tropical feel, good food
Cons: expensive (but you get what you pay for!)
Ladies…Im back from my wedding at PPC!!   I first have to say that it was an amazing week and I know you will all have the time of your life there! It is by far the most beautiful resort compared to the other resorts we saw down there. All my guests said it was the nicest resort they have been too and want to go back! It is just breathtaking with the beauty and ambience of the resort. So rest assured ladies, you made the right choice in choosing PPC!   The food was GREAT! The service was phe

Pros: Lovely resort, excellent co-ordinator, food is very good
Cons: beach can be too busy for wedding photographs, laid back attitude can be slightly nerve wracking
We had heard and read about how lovely this resort is and the ability to book it through Reservation Scanner at a huge discount, so we did that (saving us 70% off tarrif). Our wedding co-ordinator did appear to be in control as appeared to be the case from reading her emails and initial chat on Skype however I felt that she was lacking urgency on some points, in typical Caribbean fashion. For example we wanted to see exactly how the lawn layout would look like as early as possible to allow us to

Pros: Beautiful location, great service, perfect wedding
Cons: Reservations at the a la cartes
We just got back from our wedding at the Paradisus Punta Cana. It could not have been more perfect. We were dealing with Miguelina as our wedding coordinator. She is absolutely fabulous. Words cannot express how seamlessly she took care of everything. From start to finish, she was amazing. She even met us in the lobby when we were checking out to say goodbye.   Check-in: We flew Air Transat from Toronto, Ontario and arrived at the PPC around 9:30pm on Saturday night. We came with 80 peop

Hi Everyone,   To be honest I was very overwhemled when I was choosing my resort. I was back and forth between many resorts (Moon Palace, Sandals, Paradisus), and for some resorts they weren't responding to emails fast enough. I had read several reviews about the lack of communication with wedding coordinators. My travel agent in Toronto put me in contact with a private wedding coordinator for Paradisus. She actually developed the Romance Package several years ago and now works independent

Pros: PPC Onsite Coordinator Beatris, HDC
Cons: Miami Wedding Coordinators, Outside Photographer fee
Hi Ladies!   Just got back from our wedding at PPC. Here is a long review.   We arrived at PPC on Saturday afternoon. We were greeted immediately by a staff member after we got off the bus and asked us about our checkin information. I was with 4 other guests and we were on her list, so she took us to the main lobby and told us someone would be with us shortly. We stood around for about 5 minutes waiting for that someone, but no one ever came. There was no sense of order at check-in,

Pros: Beach is amazing, staff is awesome, food was delish
Cons: Communication is sometimes lacking
We just had our wedding at PPC on January 19th, 2013 and it was amazing.  I'll keep it short because I know if you're looking, it is overwhelming.  We chose this resort because as far as wedding packages go, we felt you got the most for your money here.  I wanted a beach wedding with a private reception so I chose the chill out chic package.  After adding flowers, some extra lighting, a DJ for 4 hours(he stayed for 5 :) ), photos/videographer and 20 extra people on top of the 24 included, it wor

Pros: awesome service
Cons: don't want to leave!
Let's backtrack a bit... David and I got engaged on February 3rd 2010.  We knew from the beginning that we wanted a destination wedding but did not know exactly where.  So, we had to figure out an island that would be somewhat affordable for the whole family since we had people coming from France, Portugal, and the USA.  We decided to pick the Dominican Republic since a lot of French people decide to vacation there.  In April 2010, we arrived at Punta Cana and sta

My husband and I booked our wedding at Paradisus Punta Cana on May 9, 2011, staying May 5-12.  When we arrived the first thing we noticed was how beautiful the lobby was.  Check in was a bit slow, there were a couple new staff that were training and some rude people kept butting in.  My whole group was in the regular part of the resort and we were upgraded to the Reserve which we appreciated.  All the rooms were very well appointed and everyone was raving on how great their room was!  We found o
