I am far from rich or famous, but once a year I put my hard earned money together and I pay for my version of the Rich and Famous. Myself, and several friends rented out 2 properties in Puerto Vallarta from Oct 12-16th, 2017, Villa Las Palmeras and Villa Las Ventanas. It cost us as a group a little over $13k, this was a gated community with chef services on site. Juan, the House Manager, along with his immediate staff were amazing. We provided Juan and his crew additional funds prior to arriving and they did all of the shopping and cooking for our group (additional expenses). Our drivers met us at the airport and we started on our dream vacation. As we rode through the city I couldn’t help but to notice that the area we were headed towards was decreasing in value and we were definitely out of the “resort” area of the city. So our driver makes a left turn into what appears to be an alley, and when he pulled up to the property I couldn’t imagine we were in the correct location. The common area of the property was the cleanest area in the home and it was OUTSIDE!! I have NEVER seen bedrooms so upkept! I pulled my bedspread back and it appeared as though a mechanic got into a fight with a bottle of open oil on my bedroom sheets! Deplorable, disgusting, and completely unacceptable. As I continued to pull the sheets back I had to witness mold, mildew, and bed bugs, or dead bugs on the mattress! Quickly my one week a year of living the lifestyle of the Rich & Famous came crashing to reality. VILLA LAS PALMERAS AND VILLA LAS VENTANAS is not habitable. Ownership had no compassion for my vacation party and argued the condition of the home as if they would lay their heads down in this DISGUSTING property. Management showed their face on Oct 12th and made promises of correcting our issues but as of today Oct 17th we haven’t heard anything else from them. My party ended up spending money on comforters, sheets, and finally hotel accomodations. Thank goodness we were all able to book at the Puerto Vallarta Westin Resort. So I’ve paid for 2 vacations thanks to LAS PALMERAS AND VILLA LAS VENTANAS!!!!!! The pictures of these properties online ARE NOT THE PICTURES OF THIS PROPERTY!! My entire party will be or has posted pictures of the REAL condition of this property. These owners are slum lords DO NOT BOOK THESE PROPERTIES if you want to have a decent vacation.
