  1. I have a few from our wedding on January 19th I can send over to you. I haven't figured out how to upload pics on here - I can send via email?
  2. Hi! Honestly, I was worried about the same things. The beach terrace ceremony location is sort of odd, you walk around the showers on the beach, however, I did not see anyone walking down to the beach at all during my ceremony (4:00) except for people in the pool over on the side (but you are in a covered area) - but you see them during your walk until you get down off the steps. (I thought it would bother me, but it did not). The location on the beach was private and I guess there were a few people that walked behind our ceremony by the ocean - but I didn't notice that (some guests mentioned how rude it was). The coordinators do their best to keep it secluded as much as they can. We have 82 guests. The beach terrace reception location was perfect. I'm not sure if I was just distracted or not, but I didn't notice anyone else around at all. It was quite dark - and I am glad we did the lights (I think they were $800?) or else I'm afraid it would have been too dark. The only thing I noticed going on around us was there was a fire show on the beach - so you could see the fire, etc. during our dance. I did not see any other people that did not belong at our wedding. I lost a lot of sleep worried about it being crowded or having people too close, or another wedding, etc. I honestly did not notice any of that. I believe there was another wedding on my day, but I never saw the bride, etc. My opinion with the Tequila terrace was only what we experienced after our wedding day. We were to dinner outside at the Bluewater and the reception was going on right on the same level. People were cutting through their reception to go to their private dinners on the beach, etc. The next evening, we were at Fresco restaurant and sitting by the windows - and there was a reception going on right outside on the tequila terrace. We could see them dancing and hear their music (mixed with the Spanish music inside). So, I think you will be happy with the beach terrace location as I was! The resort was booked during our 7 day stay, however, never crowded, sometimes - you had to wait 45-1 hour for a table for dinner - otherwise - it was gorgeous. Timeline: My ceremony was at 4:00; pictures after; cocktail at 5:30-6:30. First dance we did at 6:30 before our photographer left. We did not do a "formal" cake cutting. The wedding coordinator just brought out the cake around 7:00 and we went off to the side and cut the cake. At that time, we had the resort photographer there for our free 1 hour session (they stayed 7-8). I really have no opinion regarding the resort photographer, as our pictures were at the reception and it was very dark. Most were candid shots of us dancing, etc., she really didn't get any pictures of the groom/I. I did have our engagement pics taken by Adventure photography the year before in Cabo and they did an excellent job. The samples they show are very nice as well. I did an off-site photographer as when I compared prices, it was about the same and I get all of my pictures on a flash drive, etc. I don't have those yet. One suggestion I have is to do the photobooth. It was well worth the money and so fun! Everyone had a blast with that - they give you a CD with all of the pictures, as well as a video. We had them for 2 hours. Hair/makeup - I hired someone to come into the resort. I did, however, see some brides leaving the spa and they did a good job. (there was at least 1 wedding every night we were there!) Juan was my wedding coordinator. He rocked. All my worries went away when I arrived. The flowers were spot-on to what I sent him. Let me know if you need anything else to help ease your mind and stress. I envy you - the week went too fast and I keep looking at pictures wanting to go back. It was a wonderful experience for myself, husband and family/friends. My email is joni.trans4@@gmail.com if you have any questions or would like me to send you a review of everything/what pics I do have so far. Joni
  3. I was married on January 19th - on the beach, reception on the beach terrace. I loved this location. It was private. A few nights later, we ate at the Bluewater Grill and there was a wedding on the tequila terrace, right next to the restaurant. Also, there is another restaurant, Fresco, that you can see the tequila terrace from the inside - we could see everyone dance, etc. I preferred the privacy of the beach terrace location. It was beautiful. It was quite windy, however, that is just normal for Mexico - it kept the bugs away. I will try to write a post when I get caught up at home. The wedding day was perfect. If your reception is on the beach terrace, you will need extra lighting. I paid the ridiculous amount for the lighting and it was worth it, or else it would have been very dark.
  4. @@tcaurie07 - that is correct - it ends of being about $129.40 w/ tax and service fees per person extra. To save money; do not order extra cake or champagne for all your guests (just use what is in your Devine package), according to my budget sheet, that will be about $114.53 per person. (this is saving me around $1000.00). From reading other reviews - the cake for 25 is plenty big; and your guests can drink champagne during your open bar that you already are paying for.
  5. January 19th, 2015.....and planning is going! All the information is great - but still stressing about a lot. You? @@meganwitt - Did you use flowers from the resort or from an outside vendor; if resort - did they provide the vases; etc and you just ordered bouquets for centerpieces (or used bridesmaid). Our ceremony is on the Beach and reception on Beach Terrace - hoping that the shoe cubby is available for that location as well. Great idea Did you have the live music for your ceremony? I thought we could exchange the live music to have playing for cocktail but apparently we can no longer do that. Thanks in advance and congratulations! Hi Chrysta - I'm getting married January 19th, 2015 and I am trying to keep the faith as well. My colors are the same as niknic456 as well. If you have any updates - I would appreciate and I will do the same for you. I have 82 guests so far and the $$ are really adding up. Do you have any quotes yet on pricing over 25 for Devine package? Another "friend" on here states that they quoted her $99/pp plus tax (which is 16% I believe) over 25 for chairs/champagne/cake/cocktail/reception. I was not quoted that. Happy planning! @@KathyandEthan - did you get your price list from Juan yet? I am still trying to budget and we are at 82 people so far. Some brides are saying that it is $15.00/hour for cocktails for the reception anyone over 25. That would be $75 just for cocktails for 3 hours. I am just wondering if you received a definite answer from Juan. I have not asked him this question yet. I do understand that if you extend your reception you have to pay the extra $15 (plus 16% tax), as well as for the cocktail anyone over 25 pp. If you could send me any info you have and I will do the same! joni.trans4@@gmail.com Everyone has been so helpful on this site!
  6. Awesome Review Vanessa! I am getting married at Now Sapphire in January 2015 and I am starting to panic as I feel very unprepared (lack of communication with resort), etc. You had a lot of what I want (if I can talk my fiancé into agreeing) for our wedding. Do you mind if I email you to see if you have a price list I can look at for your extra's beyond the Devine, vendor pricing, etc. I'm on a budget and need to figure out what I can eliminate. I also am expecting around 80-90 people. Thank you again for the review, vendor tips, etc. I also am getting married on the beach and have the beach terrace (I believe we have that for both cocktail and reception - I wasn't given another choice). I'm marrying a banker and he wants all of the "numbers" so, I'm trying to figure out any hidden costs that you may have experienced (chairs for ceremony/cocktail/reception, etc). Love the tip regarding skipping the champagne toast - that allows me to have the photo booth I want!! This is a great resource and I hope I can also help some brides along with their journey as you have! Joni My personal email is joni.trans4@@gmail.com @@tcaurie07 - I would love to see your final numbers when you have them. I am getting married January 2015 and expecting around 80-90 people and starting to see double when I add up the extras! Good luck with your planning! @@niknic456 - I love your pictures and decorating. My color is horizon blue (similar). Could you give me pointers as to what you used for decorations and where you purchased? (Love the napkins in the glasses/sprinkles on the tables and the blue sashes tied around the higher tables to add color). I'm trying to keep my decorations simple and elegant. Also, did you just ask WC (I have Juan) to set up that way or give him pictures, etc.? Sorry for all the questions - I'm getting married in January 2015 and it just hit me I need to make some decisions! Joni email is: Joni.trans4@@gmail.com
