  2. Hi Christina, Thank you for the feedback I am just getting back to planning after a family illness postpone the wedding. But I did decide to go with Luisa she is amazing we are having reception at the Grand Coral and ceremony at the church downtown. I am excited and anxious we have about 40-50 guest joining us and was wondering If you had any recommendation of family resorts in the area? Were did you and your guest stay?
  3. Hi everyone, Just wondering if anyone has worked with Luisa from Weddings Rivieramaya or anyone from that company? I met her personally last week in Playa de Carmen and she was so lovely, pleasant and overall must great. However you always have to question and double check. I recently had a friend in Colorado have a WC disappear weeks before her wedding which has made me so nervous about making a choice. But if anyone could give me feed back I would really appreciate it very much. Please give me some peace of mind j/k but any feedback is great!!!!
  4. So I actually just returned from cancun on Wednesday and I was staying right next door to Me by Melia and decide to walk in and get some information and possibly look at their option since I was THERE very much eager to find a wedding location. I was in cancun for 5 days and went there the first day I was there. I informed the front desk what i was looking for. Then they had me speak to another person who then handed me a buisness card and told me to call the WC directly because she was not in and set something up directly with her. Ok understandable, I had no appt. but it did serm odd that their is no WC on a Wednesday at 2 but ok fine. Secondly they could not take the time to even show me around the hotel to see if it would be the right fit for my family and friends. As I left I call WC left a message informing them I was from out of town visiting cancun scotting location for my wedding that I was staying next door and availble at anytime within my stay and was really intrested. Needless to say after 3 attempted calls, 3 messages 0 returned calls and walking in and having zero help this was not the place for me.
  5. Yes I am feeling exactly like you!!! With the added stress of finding a location I can have a Catholic Wedding ceromony. STressful
  6. I agree the pictures I have seen online are beautiful I encourage you to go for it. I put it in my "must have" list for my wedding. I have not started looking into photograoher yet but when I do that will be a must.
  7. Hello my name is Melissa Reyes and my fiance Edwin proposed to me on July 7 and ever since then I have been working hard looking for a location for my wedding. We have finally narrowed it down to Cancun and to the last two weeks of June. So any help and suggestions will be appreciated. We went last May to Cozumel with 20 of our closes friends and family to celebrate my Dads 60Th Birthday and it was then my fiance and I decided that if we ever got married we would do a destination wedding since we had the most amazing time ever in Cozumel. When we got home he started planning and searching for the ring to propose to me, as I have been told. We have just started planning our destination wedding but already have encounter two challenges. First, we are so grateful to a friend who has allowed us to use his timeshares for 25 of our guest and ourselves at the the Park Royal Cancun. We stayed at there other location in Cozumel and it was so great. So we just can't beat price that his timeshare provides but the problem is they have no wedding service so we need to find a location that does not require our guest to stay their to use their wedding service. The second problem is that I would like a Catholic wedding but I have been told that in Cancun and in all of Mexico does not allow you to get married by the Church without the Confirmation sacrament which my fiance does not have and would take a year in a half to 2 years to get. However, in my parish back home my priest tells me this is only in Mexico that we can get married by the church here back home with no problem. I have not been able to find any church to give us our marriage sacrament in Cancun without the confirmation sacrament. So any help and suggest I would truly appreciate.
