  1. We booked M&J Photography (Michael and Jennifer Lewis) and strongly recommend them. You won't go wrong with this choice. They are reliable and creative, very professional, and they are quick at delivering their work. They will help you find the right place for the photo shoots and will respond to any questions you may have in time and with detail. They are definitely great photographers.
  2. We agree. We also hired Michael and Jennifer's services for our wedding at Playa del Carmen last April and they did a superb job. They would keep in contact with us regularly, sending us friendly emails with tips and questions (getting to know your interests and expectations). They even mwith us in Playa del Carmen several months before our wedding day, and they were very professional about it, studying the church and its lighting conditions. Several days before our wedding day they sent us an email with a list of things to keep in mind during the photo session, which proved to be very helpful. On the "trash the dress" session they went out to find the right place for the photos. Now comes the most important part to mention… the quality of their work. The photos are superb; pure art! Seriously, we never thought the photos would come out so well. The colors, the backgrounds, the angles, the lighting, the moments captured. This alone is worth hiring them, but well, they do offer the whole package (attitude, professionalism, quality of work). We are now having trouble picking those for framing. Michael and Jennifer are a very nice couple, friendly and with an interesting conversation. Hiring them was the best decision we could have made and working with them was a great pleasure. We highly recommend them. Here is a link to their work at our wedding, in their website http://www.mandjphoto.com/2012/05/rodrigo-talina/
  3. We agree, Michael and Jennifer’s photographed us on our wedding day last April, covering the “bride’s getting ready sessionâ€, a photo session of the bride and groom, together and with our families, and the ceremony. We then had a “trash the dress†session the day after the wedding. They were very professional from day one. They not only listened but also gave us tips and suggestions, which obviously helps when you have a lot of other things to worry about when organizing your wedding. As the weeks passed, they would keep constant contact with us, sending us friendly emails (being in regular contact with them gave us a lot of peace of mind knowing they were taking their job seriously). We met them once in Playa del Carmen several months before our wedding day, and they were very professional about it. They studied the church and its lighting conditions and checked the sunset schedule for our wedding day to know how much light they would get during our ceremony. Several days before our wedding day they sent us an email with a list of things to keep in mind during the photo session (small but important things that you would not think about; like having the room cleaned early in the morning, etc). They volunteered to start their work earlier than requested in order to cover the getting ready session from the start, even when that meant that they would work additional time (without charging for it), and while Jennifer took pictures of the bride, Michael went out to study different areas of the hotel to find the best place to shoot the couple and family pictures (think about it, you are getting two photographers, so there is a lot of room for getting things right). They blended in perfectly with the family. Before getting to the church, they took us on their car to the beach to get some nice photos on the sand, and then jumped in the wedding car to capture the moment as the bride was being driven to the church. They dressed professionally for the occasion and were very conscious of not overwhelming us or the priest while they took the pictures. They then jumped in the car with us as we were driven from the church to the reception, to capture the “just married†moment. The next day, for the “trash the dress†session (scheduled for 4:30 pm) they surprised us with a better location (there was a lot of seaweed on the beach in Playa del Carmen and we had just no idea where to go for the photo sessions). Without us asking, they took the task of driving around the Mayan Riviera during the morning to find the right spot for the photo session. They explained to us how to get there and it was worth it. The place they found was incredible. They gave us a lot of ideas for the “trash the dress†session and made the experience quite enjoyable. Four days after our wedding day, they sent us a web link with their favorite shots; a link which could be shared with family and friends. This was a great thing to have during our honeymoon. Finally, they kept in constant contact while they were working on the editing and finally sent us the photos 5 weeks after our wedding day (that’s extremely fast). They prepared two DVDs for us and one for each of our families. The DVDs contained the photos in high resolution (for printing) and low resolution (for sharing on the web or by email). We highly recommend them, you can`t go wrong with this one. Talina & Rodrigo
