  1. Krys, Thank you for your response to my question. That's good news!! I guess I misinterpreted their wording on Turks and Caicos Tourism website. I was wondering why I didn't see anything like this mentioned anywhere else! The link where I saw this is as follows: http://www.turksandcaicostourism.com/travel-tips.html VISITING THE TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS All citizens from the countries listed here require a passport to enter the Turks and Caicos Islands. Countries not on the list require a visa and should consult their local British Embassy or consulate for details. Or the Turks and Caicos Islands representative at the Turks and Caicos Islands office in London, England, or New York, United States of America. IMMIGRATION REQUIREMENTS All visitors must hold a round trip ticket. Visitors are allowed to stay for 30 days; this is renewable one time only Passports: Must be valid for a minimum of 6 months

  4. Hi all! Isn't this forum the greatest thing ever? So helpful! My wedding is in December 2012 at Seven Stars. I just happened to be looking at the T&C tourism website and saw something about passport requirements. The site states that visitors to T&C must possess a passport which has been valid for at least 6 months prior to entry. I have not seen this on any other website and can't find any information on US travel regulations. I'm just concerned about several of my guests who do not already have a passport! Anyone have any information?
  5. Thank you again, Krys! All of your countless posts have been TREMENDOUSLY helpful!!
  6. Thanks for the reassurance, Krys! While looking at various pictures on Tropical Imaging's website, I have seen many beautiful bouquets and arrangements! I saw Candice and David's pictures too. Even though the bouganvillea look perfectly fine, I got a little stressed when I read several negative things about them on other sites. I hope you don't mind! I have two other questions for you... 1. Are all of the bouganvillea in Turks and Caicos various shades of fuschia? Some of the pictures look a little purple-ish fuschia and others look like a vivid hot pink. I'm trying to decide upon a color theme. 2. I'm getting married in early December 2012. How is the humidity during the month of December? I've already researched it, but I'd love a local's opinion!
  7. I just booked Seven Stars for December 2012!! Thank you to everyone for your great suggestions! I love these forums! I haven't made any final decisions about a photographer, flowers, hair/makeup, etc. I'm just happy to have picked a venue. However, I have a question about bougainvillea, T & C's native flower. At Seven Stars, a bougainvillea bridal bouquet and boutonniere is included in their wedding package. I'm not sure what flowers I'm going to select. I haven't priced any upgrades yet, but I'm wondering about the durability of the flowers. I've been looking at some florist websites and seen some negative comments about bougainvillea. Apparently, they die very quickly unless kept in water. Who wants a wilted bridal bouquet?! Anyone who has already had their wedding have any feedback about bougainvillea?
  8. That's a good point! I don't want to have to worry about when the cake arrives, etc. For some reason, I was picturing 20% being added to a number of services. I guess there wouldn't be too many charges added to my resort "tab." Plus, I definitely plan to book the photographer myself. I'm assuming that will be the highest outside vendor bill. Thank you again!!
  9. Funny timing that you and I are online at the same time! I haven't been active on BDW since I asked about your experience at Seven Stars. Thank you for the additional information. I guess my question was a bit confusing. Did you happen to price any vendors on your own before having Seven Stars take care of everything? Since the resort charges an additional 20% fee to book and pay vendors on your behalf, I assumed the final cost would be pretty high. 20% is a lot! The information I received indicates they receive special rates with certain vendors the resort regularly works with. Even so, I am thinking I will have to contact the vendors, ask for quotes, and then compare theirs to the resort's quotes. Sounds time consuming!!
  10. After many hours of researching a T&C wedding location, I'm seriously considering Seven Stars. You mentioned that you booked nearly everything through Niki. Did you have to pay an additional service charge to Seven Stars since they booked the music, flowers, cake, etc.for you or were you billed directly by the vendors? Thank you ahead of time!! It's so hard to try to estimate all of the hidden fees!
