  1. We are arriving in Ft. Lauderdale two days before the cruise leaves so we can settle in a bit after the flights.(He gets air sick, so it's best for him!) We get married the evening before we leave port. The officiant we are using told me that he will do some local research for me on hotels, best price, best quality, closest to beach/airport/port, etc. Should be getting back with me soon and I will spead the good news for you!! =)
  2. I'm going to be a cruise bride in March! We chose to do our wedding beach side the day before our ship leaves port. It turned out to be cheaper and we still get the perks on the ship with our TA letting them know that we are honeymooners. We leave from Ft. Lauderdale, so we chose to have our ceremony on the beach at Vista Park Beach that way we could explore the city before we leave on the ship and a day to get things together and be married after we arrived in the city. I found an awesome officiant that has a pre-cruise package that included photography and filing the paperwork since we are from out of town. We wanted to get married while on the cruise, but found that for legal purposes, it was easier to be married in the States. Our cruise is through Princess. We were engaged on an Alaskan Cruise back in June on the Golden Princess and had such a wonderful experience that we chose to use them again! The staff was very friendly and helpful to each and every one of our needs, even when I got sick(Upper Respitory Infection) on board the ship! The medical center called our room multiple times to make sure I was doing okay and even gave me instructions on how to avoid pain during the flight(ears, sinuses, and head). I even heard from them once we got home! I never would have imagined having such an amazing experience to where I felt very taken care of, safe and like the cruise ship crew was family! Just a bit of info about the cruise line and wedding plan ideas for ya! Hope it helps!
  3. Thanks! Most of what is posted is for bigger weddings. I did find one place that I am going to look into more... http://fortlauderdalebeachweddings.net Just hoping it's not too good to be true!
  4. Hello All! I am trying to find a pre-cruise wedding ideas/site/package in Ft. Lauderdale. We were planning on getting married on-board the Emerald Princess that sets sail from Ft. Lauderdale on March 17th, 2012, but it's just so dang expensive to use Princess for the ceremony!! We are paying for it all, so we are trying to get the best quality for the price on everything. It will just be the two of us, so no reception needed since we will have an AHR when we get back from the cruise. Anything ideas/advice wise helps a ton!! Thanks so much!
  5. Hello Ladies! I am looking at multiple Carnival cruise itineraries, but am so lost in all the different ports and how this would work. Is it cheapest to get married on the ship(at port or at sea), at a port(not by cruise line), or do you have other suggestions? ANY info will help to be better prepared for the stress of picking a specific itinerary. Message me! To get a better feel of US as a couple, here is our wedding website. http://elizabethandbilly.ourwedding.com He proposed on an Alaskan cruise (Thru Princess Cruises) back in June and we definatly want something beautiful for our wedding cruise!
