  1. And I was just thinking that Cala Luna was just slow to respond! I guess they aren't even open!
  2. Yes, there are minimums but you can just contact Fernando to talk about it. He is REALLY prompt and super patient
  3. No, they are not really negotiable in price and you cannot opt out of the chef service for Casa Fantastica. Jenn B, what were you quoted for the added price of chef service etc? I think I was told like $600 per person! That was only 2 meals? No alcohol or transport?
  4. How much is the all-inclusive add on? How much per person is it ending up being?
  5. Hey everyone, I am planning a wedding for Feb 2013 in Costa Rica. I have looked into the resort thing but it's not really the feel I like. So we've started looking to villas to rent. The problem is all the mansion that are AMAZING can only house max 30 people. I wish we could get our list down that low!! But we are planning on 40-60 people coming. Has anyone went this route or plan on doing it? I want it easy to get to from the international airports as well. There are lots of options in Manuel Antonio but I am afraid it is too far away... would I rent a big bus to take everyone? These are some options I've been looking at: http://www.vivalasvillas.com/dv-description.html http://www.vivalasvillas.com/casasamba.html http://www.vivalasvillas.com/vistaazul.htm http://www.vivalasvillas.com/fantastica.htm All of those are right beside each other. And then... http://www.manuelantonioestates.com/propertymap.html Tanager, Manakin and Jacana. Either the motmot or tuscan house. They are all right beside each other as well. And other options I don't know about or something closer to an airport you can suggest? Thanks!
  6. Hey everyone, I am so new to all of this and I don't even know where to start. My fiance and I have finally nailed down the country to get married in... Costa Rica! And we know we want it in 2013. That's a long time away but don't you book for 2013 in 2012? We want to have an idea of where we want to host the wedding before 2012 because we want the invites to go out a year early (we don't want to do Save-The-Dates just early invitations). I am looking for a resort that will host everyone all inclusive but with the option of having a rainforest wedding. I was thinking some resort that is by a forest and will set the wedding up there instead of the beach? This is my dream by I don't know if it is a reality. When do you book a wedding? I heard Jan 1 2012 the dates will open for 2013? Correct? Hotels work with you on colours, flower type, music, reception and all that right? You don't just get a "general" wedding that they put together and you show up? I really have no idea how this all works... Also, what is a typical budget for a destination wedding? Thanks in advance for all the info! You ladies are great
