Thanks for all your great ideas Charlotte10, I have just been put with yet another WC So i'll just be thankful if I leave Jamaica legally married haha. I am calling the resort tomorrow to speak to a guest relations person just to express my concerns from other reviews I have read and my own experiences so far. If I could have my time back I would have picked an off site ceremony. For the amount you pay the hotel its probably cheaper to get a wedding planner to arrange it for you. Are you having a reception or rehersal dinner at the GPL? We are heading down there november 17... how about you guys?

Hi lindsayraz, When are you getting married? I have a group of guests flying out of Edmonton on Nov 16 and was told there is another wedding party on that flight?!? Where did you get the mugs from? I have been looking but we have 75 guests and the shipping is so high on them. I have been looking for fans so I will have to check out Michaels tomorrow...thanks for the tip!

Hi Tinasett13 I phoned the hotel directly and asked for the sales department. I spoke to a lady named Cheryl and she told me it applies to everyone (my travel agent said it doesn't apply to me because it was for travel in 2012, which Cheryl said it was for travel for the remainder of 2011 and 2012) I didn't receive the discount from my travel agent either. But I plan to phone the hotel once our booking is finalized and speak to them about crediting my room since the promotion is through the hotel. PM me if you want anymore info. I'll let you know if I get anywhere.

Hi ladies! I am getting married on November 21 and am having a hard time figuring this all out. Are any of you having the private reception? Mine is in the posiedon? I'm not sure how that will work out.....the pictures don't look like it is a very good wedding reception space. I was told the blue lagoon was booked and i'm not sure if I have any other options. Did anyone pick there menu? I can't seem to pick one... its hard to chose something for all your guests! I was just given the info for Janice Skeen for all my floral arrangments. I was told the hotel is no longer using Tai Floral. So confusing!

Hi Ladies, I am getting married in November at The Grand Palladium and am a little confused. We are planning on a private reception till 1am and I have mentioned that to my wedding coordinator but nothing is being said? Is that normal? They haven't given me choices for the menu or asked me anything other then the ceremony time (4pm). I'm starting to get a little stressed as the date is quickly approaching! Do they give you a choice of where to have the reception? Or how did anyone find a D.J. or steel drum band? Does the hotel have one? What about a late snack? Did anyone have that option. I don't even know what time dinner is served?? I had Simone as a WC but now have someone else that doesn't really answer my questions. If anyone has been through this please let me know what I am supposed to be doing. I know the bouquets come with the package but I want certain flowers. I have tried to contact Tia Floral but haven;t received a response. Also the spa?? I heard there is a spa conceriege but have no idea how to contact him. I wanted to spend the day at the spa with the bridesmaids and moms, but not sure if that is possible. Any advice or tips would be soooo greatly appreciated!

Have you thought of the song "your so cool" by Hans Zimmerman? Tats a definite for me! and "The way you do the things you do" Are you having a private reception?
