So I've been set on the basic style I want for months, but trying to narrow down options as far as the details. I want a mermaid gown, much like the popular Rivini (Lismora) and Lazaro gowns that have been so popular this last couple of years...criss cross ruching, ruffled skirt. Problem I'm having is the detail variation, but one of the brides on the show Four Weddings had a version that I wouldn't change a THING about! It was the ep that aired Thursday night (July 26) and she was the wedding planner bride. So I'm hoping that someone on the board may have seen the show and recognized the dress from their own search?? I know they normally post photos of the brides on the TLC site, but that ep isn't up yet and I'm impatiently killing time this afternoon searching online for the gown.

We are doing what is now being called (at least by the wedding industry) an "elaborate elopement". So it will be just the two of us, but with all the trimmings more or less. We willbe walking down to the ceremony location on the beach together, but I'd love a place where we could kind of meet in the middle to see each other for the first time in our wedding attire. This is actually a vow renewal (the wedding we WANTED but didn't do the first time), and since we aren't inviting guests I don't want the whole bridal walk down the aisle alone. Just us, the officiant and the photographer, so this will also be time to catch the first look shots. So for anyone whose already had their wedding or a site visit, suggestions? I do plan to the coordinator...as soon as we hear back from one:)

Well, poo. OK, I guess that goes into consideration with the rest. Thats a big help, thanks! Is there a page on their site that lets you know what you CAN use the credit toward? I imagine the typical stuff like massages and the like, but I'd like to know before getting too far into it.

Does anyone know if you can use the $1500 resort credit to add to the complimentary wedding package? I've seen it mentioned that you can use it to upgrade packages and that you have to use the full credit, but I'm basically looking at using it to add on optional services, like a photography package for the ceeremony. We will probably bring in an outside photog for a honeymoon/TTD session, but I wouldn't mind the resort photog taking ceremony pics.

Can someone PLEASE tell me the name for this type of skirt? I know I've seen it called something before, but for the life of me.....I'd love to have a mermaid gown with this type of skirt. I'm thinking (from the looks of the photos on the David's site) that this is more of a fit and flare. Skirt looks like it starts too high on the thigh to be a true mermaid.
