  1. Well if your thinking about getting married there, you should bring your own coordinator. They will respond your emails and act like there up on things, but its just a scheme into booking your wedding there. You also have to pay everything before your get there, so you can't ask for your money back.
  2. Just got back from my wedding and honeymoon at Our lucaya Resort. I wanted to write about this resort while it is still fresh in my mind. We arrived on Dec 29, 2010. Our wedding coordinator was Meryl! SHE WAS USELESS! We arrived at 12pm and we were advised that check in is at 3pm, so we check in our luggage and wen and meet up with our wedding party. 3 pm arrived and our room was still not ready. My wedding party got there rooms first. I'm the bride. We had no room until almost 4:30pm. The check in process was very unorganized. We then met with our wedding coordinator, MERYL! She advised us to relax and enjoy the resort and she will meet with us in the am. We then went to our rooms. My fiance and I woke up and had breakfast. She didn't contact us at all to advised us to get our wedding garments pressed, so my wedding dress, my fiance's tux and our wedding party, stuff was all wreckled. My fiance call down to the desk and found out that when we arrived w should have been advised to have the cleaners press our items, so my fiance had to put a rush on all our items. Wedding coordinator, no where to be found. WEDDING DAY! I saw Meryl, the so called wedding day! 1 time, the whole day and that was when I was walking down the aisle. We had to inquring about everything with her. I got married on the beach and there were spectators walking all on the beach. It is a public event. They did not section off the beach or anything. So if you get married on the beach, expect that strangers will be walking threw your wedding. Meryl was the worse wedding coordinator ever. I would not advise anyone to get married at OUR LUCAYA. It was over priced and not worth the hassle. Meryl did nothing. I could have planned this wedding myself in the Bahamas! I think as a bride, you should feel special on your wedding day and I didn't. It was like another day for the hotel. There is also a fee for everything, down to cutting your wedding cake. If you do decide to have your wedding there, my florist Volice was excellent and the baker, Cindy was very good as well. They both did what I requested and they are reasonably priced. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the service was good. Once we got checked in we had no problems with he hotel itself. Another note is that the the hotel and all the shops around it charge your gratuity for everything. Example, my husband bought a candy bar at the hotel cafe and it was 4.00 with gratuity. In all, Our Lucaya/ RADISSON was a nice hotel, but if I had to do it again. I wouldn't get married there. My wedding was beautiful and memorable because my family, friends and wedding party made it a wonderful day.
  3. My wedding is in a few weeks, so far so good. Supplied Meryl with all my requests and she has been prompt with booking everything. We are all staying on the Radisson side! So we will see!
  4. Hi Ladebug577, Â I hope so! She just contacted me and sent me a check list and sample pictures of the photographer they use at the resort. His work looked okay. Do you have a photographer your using out there and if so do you have his website information or a #. She also sent me information the florist. I will definitely keep everyone posted on my event. I have booked and paid for everything already and the date is set for the 31 of December 2010. So we will see! Thank you!
  5. Â Â Â Awesome review! You looked great! Im getting married in December 2010! Get details. I had a question about your reception. Did you have it at 1 of the resort restaurants and did what where the plate charges like?
  6. Question? Has anybody been married at this resort yet? I can't find any reviews or pictures
  7. Hi! Â Im getting married on December 31, 2010 at Our lucaya Resort at the Radisson not the Reef Village! I just recently discovered that they are owned by the Westin but are 2 different resorts. My coordinator so I thought was Faye Knowles but once I signed my contract and they got my money it has now changed to some Meryl Russell! which im kind of nervous about. Has anyone married yet at Our Lucaya and if you have can I get some feed back on the photographer if you used the resort 1 and flowers, hair and makeup, dinner..etc... I have been emailing Faye and she is very brief and really seems like she doesn't handle to much! If you have any pics, that would be great too! Thanks Â
