  1. Hi Nicy, Mine cost £30 for a french manicure, Its not like a nail varnish you could put straight onto your nails yourself. they build it up in layers and after each layer your nails go under a UV lamp. My friend has it on her fingers and toes I have never had my toes done my feet are far too sensitive couldn't bear it lol. If you have a manicure then decide you would like a colour on you can paint over the gel with a normal nail varnish then as long as you remove the colour with acetone free remover your gel manicure remains untouched.....genius !!! lol
  2. Hi Michelle, I haven't used Shellac but I have had the Bio Sculpture gel nails, which is the same kind of thing in fact I have it on my nails now as I type lol. It really is fab and you are right it doesn't chip, so will be perfect to have done before Mexico. I have a manicure included in my wedding package but will be going ready prepared with my shiny manicured gel nails. Oh and your little girl looks adorable, bet she feels like a true princess in that gorgeous dress x
  3. Hi Ladies, Just wondered if any of you know, are you required to get your birth certificates translated into spanish in order to be married at the Moon Palace ? I have sent an email to my co ordinator but am still waiting for a reply. Many Thanks x
  4. Thanks for the info, will send wedding co ordinator an email now to see if we defo need them doing. I really hope she says no I can think of better things to spend £500 on lol x I have looked on the Commonwealth website, but they only legalize once they have been translated. At the moment it costs £28 per certificate. The price from the translation company includes this so when you minus that cost from the total their fees for translation are quite steep. Will see if I can get prices from elsewhere just incase we do need them x
  5. Thanks Michelle, I just thought all brides from U.K had to have birth certificates translated, I'd better check through my wedding pack again just to make sure we need it doing.
  6. Hi girls, Can't believe it's taken me this long to post on here. I have been reading this thread since late last year but never posted as I felt I would be butting in on a conversation (silly I know) lol !!! We get married on the 17th May 2011 at The Moon Palace Cancun, and I am WAY behind all of you in planning. Just wondered if I could ask you what you all did for translations of birth certificates ? I called the translation company that Thomas Cook gave me and they quoted me £489.20 for translation and to be legalized. Is this the norm ? I was a bit shocked at the price but have no one to compare with. I would love to hear what you did about this. Thanks Jo x
