  1. Honestly, I can't remember what the cost was for all of the work that Rebecca did, she did so much for me! However I do remember that she was worth every single penny! I would use her again in a heartbeat!
  2. Thanks! If I don't sell it, I'll let you know and we can see if we can figure something out. I might be able to come down a bit. I really appreciate the feedback!
  3. Hi Guys! So I was planning on starting a little side business making handmade wedding bouquets since I received so many email requests after sharing my own handmade bouquet. I had hoped to make several bouquets before launching an etsy site when we not only found out that I was pregnant but we decided to move out of the country!! So now I need to get rid of everything fast! I am selling these for a lot less than I had intended, but we are moving soon and I'd rather not ship these to my storage unit! I am putting up the Hot Pink and Orange Bridal Bouquet first. It really is beautiful if I say so myself! Each flower is handmade using at least 40 petals for the large flowers and each flower, large and small has a rhinestone brooch center. This bouquet is far more detailed than I even made my own! It took many many hours to make each individual flower. I don't use any glue, each flower is sewn petal by petal and I also sew in the brooches. I sew them together very well so that they will last for generations if kept properly, I tried very hard to make these as heirloom quality as possible. Message me here if you have any questions. I can measure it for you (I would include the measurements now but my husband lost the tape measure!) but we estimate that it is about 12 inches wide and 14 inches long. Again, I'd be happy to figure it out exactly if you want. Here are some photos. Let me know if you want more. And please forgive my big ol' pregnant belly! Also, I'm asking $275 US dollars (Paypal) and it would depend on where you live for shipping. Just let me know where and I can figure out what to add for shipping. Thanks!

  5. Wow thank you so much for all of the lovely feedback! I had such an amazing time making my bouquet that I decided to make some to sell. Life of course got in the way and not only are we in the middle of moving to Mexico, we are also pregnant!! So I now have 2 bouquets that are almost done, and I need to sell them asap so they will go for a heck of a lot less than I was expecting! 1 Bouquet is Hot Pink and Orange and the other bouquet is a few shades of purple and green, and each flower has a different rhinestone brooch in the centers. They are really lovely if I do say so myself!I've really got the hang of it now. I have tons of flowers that are made but aren't attached to "stems" yet and since that is the tricky/time consuming part, I will turn them into hair flowers most likely. I will add pictures and prices once I finish the handles for the bouquets, but if those bouquet colors interest you, just send me a message and I can send you pictures of what the flowers look like now. Thanks guys!!
  6. I used Allurements by Rebecca for my invites and I LOVED her! I did boarding passes for my invites, but I know that she also does passports. She was so easy to work with and incredibly affordable. I just gave her my colors and that I wanted starfish and sand dollars and she made my dream invite on her first draft! She also made my bag tags, pre travel brochures, monogram, stickers, VIP passes- I couldn't stop, it was so much fun! Highly recommended! http://www.etsy.com/shop/AllurementsByRebecca?ref=pr_shop http://www.allurementsbyrebecca.com/
  7. Thanks everyone!! I really appreciate all of the feedback! And I am actually in the process of making some bouquets to sell on Etsy. I'm really excited about them! After I made mine I came up with an even better way to make the flowers where they hold their shape better and they look more full than my original ones. I'll be making a few bouquets to show on the site and I'll take orders if people want different colors. Also I'm making corsages, boutonnieres, hair flowers and bridesmaid bouquets too. I hope to launch them in the next month, but the new method takes soooo much longer than my bouquet took so we'll see. I'd love some color suggestions too! Thanks guys and I'll keep you posted for when I start selling!
  8. Awesome! I've never stayed at Mezzanine, but my sister stayed there this past time and loved it, they have great food there too. Next week! I'm so excited for you!!! I can't wait to hear all about it!
  9. Awesome!! If you go to my planning thread you can see some pictures of what I made. They were soooo easy to do and cheap! I really wish that I would have known how much people were going to like them so I could have made more!
  10. Sorry- forgot to add that if you do a search here for Salt Dough Ornaments, you will see my original post. I give instructions on page 2 of the post. Also, make extras!! A few of them broke in transit so I was thrilled that I had brought more!
  11. Thanks y'all!! I really appreciate the feedback! As you all know, we work so hard on our weddings, it's always so nice to get a compliment!! So, for the bags. I don't know, I had a love/hate with them. I have to say that for .99 cents, it was a great deal and I could now focus my budget on what went IN the bags. Also, my green friends loved that they could use them as grocery bags when they got home. That I loved to hear since I really hoped that people would use them again! BUT if I had to do it again, I would either chose something more like an actual beach bag OR I would have paid the extra to get either the larger Iron On Transfers or had them screen printed. The reason for that is because the bags were so plain, I think that they really need something bigger or brighter to jazz them up. Maybe I should have just gone with one of the colored bags that they offer? I do know that I would re-think the bags if I could have a do-over. They were also incredibly thin but again, for .99 cents, I couldn't expect much more! I haven't had a chance to wash the iron ons, so I will have to get back to you on that one, but they were incredibly easy to do. Rebecca just gave me a few tips and I loved how well the transfers worked. Sorry, is that any help?? And thank you so much Dominique!! I really do love to hear that!!! I honestly think that my wedding was half stuff I made and half stuff Allurements by Rebecca made! I can do crafty stuff, but I'm crap at designing on the computer. (Case in point- my welcome book cover- I just copy and pasted Rebecca's logo. I realllllyyyy wish I had asked her to properly design it!) I'm going to respond to your pm next, but to answer your book question, I just tied them with raffia. The books are just 1/2 page size and I did a 3 hole punch, tied with raffia and then added the "To love and to cherish" charm since I had so many leftovers. I found the clear covers in the office supply wear the report stuff is. Here's a picture of the book finished:
  12. We did a cocktail hour between our wedding and our dinner/reception. It actually wasn't that much extra as far as costs go. Originally we were going to have some snacks and simple pitchers of margaritas and sangrias, stuff like that. We ended up coming in under budget so we changed it to nicer snacks and passed drinks. Even still, it wasn't that much more in the way of cost. I chose not to have any entertainment during the cocktail time so I just made an ipod playlist and let it run on the house speakers. Also, I made some felt photo props so people could take some silly photos as they drank. It cost me pennies and everyone went nuts with them! I hardly have any photos now where people aren't wearing felt mustaches! You could even do something as simple as a salsa/guacamole bar and pitchers of 1 or 2 drinks and some beers?
  13. Hi! I just saw this, am I too late to help? I just got back from there so I'd be happy to help if you still don't know where to stay. Also, as an update since you are also getting married at Playa Media Luna- my wedding there was awesome!! We just got back and I have to say that they did an amazing job! Good luck with your day and have fun! Tell Maria I said hi!
  14. Thanks Guys!! Someone just sent me some photos so I'm going to add some more now. These are either better than what I had originally put up or they are of something I didn't have when I posted. I wish there was still an edit button! *Also I'm adding them because I can't stop looking at my pictures!! I loved our wedding day so much!! I think this is a better picture of the boys so you can see what they all wore: Buffet Set Up Ceremony Set Up Our 1st married kiss!!!! Picture of my Mother In Law wearing her wrist corsage Table Set Up Our Pre Ceremony Tequila Shot!
