Okay....I just got a quote back from the "sound system" people and it is going to cost us over $700 just for a microphone and speakers...Did other brides pay this because that seems insane to me. We just want to have speeches during dinner and we're renting the pool side after for dancing. All together that's only 4 1/2 hours and I thought it was supposed to be only $70/hour!

I just booked my wedding for Riu Vallarta for July 15th at 5:00! I'm really excited and everything sounds perfect - the only thing I am a little concerned about is the poolside party being made to close at 11:00! Yikes!! What are some other options for continuing with the party? Is there a disco there everybody can go to or are there other bar areas at the Riu that are open until 1 or 2? I read another persons post where they are renting out the ballroom and planning their own wedding (not getting a package) but that seems like too much of an ordeal for me. I'm trying to get the best stress free wedding possible!
