Hey everyone, I got married at Azul Sensatori in May 2010 and have a long-overdue review coming really soon. I know it's super late but better late than never right?? I will post the review this week but in the meantime just wanted to let everyone know that I am here if anyone has questions... Ladies, Great that you are thinking of this already! I got married in May 2010 and I can tell you that I had the same mindset of "I'm on vacation, right?" I was there for 5 days before the wedding and I can definitely tell you I gained a bit. It wasn't much at all but it's just obnoxious to look back at pics and know that I worked so hard for the months leading up to the wedding and then didn't look as lean as I could on my wedding day. As with all things, moderation is key... Hope this helps

I'm going to second this... I was told explicitly from Fabio that we can not do the Free Sweet Wedding with the Sky Deck wedding (BOOOO!!!). If you find out that we can circumvent that by booking the honeymoon sweet, do let us know!

Ladies, Just got my STDs (a little behind the eight ball, I know) and am SOO excited! I love love love love them and wanted to share with some people who might enjoy them as the fiatch (my personal term of endearment for FH) just can't appreciate them like we do I think the front of the STD is now my avatar but can't seem to be able to post it in my signature... oh well!! Wooohoo after weeks of negotiating with the resort, finally-- the fun part!!

Ladies, What's all this about a Pearl Package?? I thought there was only Free, Silver, and Gold? Am I missing something?? Also, curious as to when you guys are sending Save the Dates and invites. I'm sending out my STDs this week, but then how soon after should I send out invites? I know what wedding etiquette dictates but the destination wedding is unique. I want people to be able to book their travel early. Thoughts? What did all of you do??

Thanks for the warm welcome, ladies! Kitten, we will definitely be getting together for a newlywed drink or two. We will be going down 5/5 - 5/12 so we will definitely overlap quite a bit. SO looking forward to it! So, I have gotten quotes from both the resort and a TA and they are pretty much the same. As a standard, the resort gives 10% off of regular room rates for a group rates. Did anyone negotiate for better rates? I know you can negotiate for other stuff but I'm just curious to see if anyone got anywhere with haggling for the guest room rates. We will probably have 25-35 rooms so I'm hoping I have some bargaining power but I'm new at this, so I'm not sure. Thoughts??

Hello ladies! Okay I have been stalking this thread for a while but just sent in my deposit so I figured it's time to introduce myself. I am getting married at Sensatori on May 10, 2010 and am PUMPED!! I have a few questions though that I'm hoping you wonderful ladies can help me out with. I'm not sure if this is something we discuss on here but here goes: A handful of our guests may have a tough time affording this gourmet-inclusive so naturally I want to get them the best rate. So I'm trying to figure out the best way to get the best rates for our guests and am wondering what kinds of rates have you guys been able to get for your guests (circa May 2010)?? Have you gotten better rates dealing with the resort directly or an outside TA? Is there a price-guarantee in effect (i.e. if the prices go down, will they go down also for guests who have already booked?). Any help or advice that you could provide would be phenomenal... THANK YOU!!!
