  1. Congratulations Leslie!!! What an amazing thread. Your wedding was gorgeous, love the colors. Since seeing your pics I've decided to add accents of fuchsia to my orange and green color palate:-) Your photography slide show turned out great, makes me so happy that we decided to go with sungold for our photos. Your huppah flowers, bouquets and centerpieces all are very pretty. I'm getting married at the Iberostar suites in October and had contacted Taiflora for a quote before I learned that they lost the resort contract. I've emailed Jamaica flower studio but haven't heard back from them yet. How much were your huppah flowers? Centerpieces? Bride and bridemaids bouquets? Also what size paper laterns did you use? 20 inches? The ones you chose were the perfect size. Thanks so much for sharing!!!
  2. Thanks so much NegrilB for the info about the space available on the terrace!! I was thinking of putting maybe 1/3 of the tables on one side along with the head table, then the remaining 2/3 on the other side. I was thinking the dance floor area could be on the side with the head table and less round tables, but using the beach for dancing is a good idea. Like you, I'm just not sure how the older guests will like that. Hopefully not all 100 guests will show up, then I can use one side for dinner and the other side for dancing. I think some people were wondering about the price of centerpieces from Taiflora. I've been in contact with taiflora and here's the quote they gave me based on the types of arrangements and flowers I asked about: Trumpet vases with roses, casa lilies, mokara and dendrobium orchids in style of img 122 of website - $120 each Fish bowls with arrangement of Hydrangea, roses, drooping mango calla lilies, accents flowers - $95 each and for the huppa $400 for: Fully draped bamboo arch with 2 medium side arrangements in brides colours: roses, casa lilies, mokara orchids + accent flowers
  3. Hello ladies, Daifje-- Nicole hasn't done much as far as planning for my wedding either. I do understand, since it isn't until october, but I can't even get her to respond to my emails. While you and andrew are visiting, could you please ask her for me how many people can sit on one side of the terrace of aunt ruby's restaurant?? We plan on having our reception there and I just want to make sure that all of my guests can fit on one side of the terrace. We plan on inviting about 125 people and expect 80 to 100 (if that many, its hard to predict since our wedding is still a ways away). I just don't want to over invite and we plan on sending out our save-the-dates soon. I see you are leaving tomorrow so hopefully you'll get this before you leave. If anyone else happens to know the maximum number of people that can sit on one side of aunt ruby's for the reception please let me know. Thanks!! I was starting to get concerned because everyone waited until the deadline to book.

She hasn't responded with the other baker's contact info so I haven't found anyone to replace her yet. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I did a search and found a thread on this site regarding cake bakers in Montego bay. One bride used Sheila's bakery and she attached pictures of her cake in her post. The cake looks very nice and modern. I haven't contacted Sheila yet but her email address is movery34@yahoo.com. Here's a link to the thread. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t37890 If Caryn ever gives you the other baker's contact info please let me know.

I have seen a lot of photographers' work that I like but I wasn't prepared to spend over $2K. I may end up asking a friend to do it if I can't find anyone with a good price who does photo-journalistic style. Hello Ladies, I am new to this forum but have read through most of the old posts and I love it! All the information is so helpful and it helped me to decide on IRHS for my wedding. My date isn't until October 2010 but I've been thinking about trying to find an outsider baker for the wedding cake because I really don't like the pictures of cakes that Nicole sent me. NegrilLB, what baker are you using for your cake? Could you send me her contact info and the name and contact info of the other baker she gives you?

Hello everyone, So glad I found this site. I'm planning to get married late October 2010 in Jamaica, most likely the Iberostar rose hall suites resort and I've been reading posts from others who've had or are planning their weddings there. Thanks to all for the great info! Nashida
