  1. Can someone tell me how many people fit at the round tables for the poolside reception? I've been told up to 10 but is that 10 comfortably or 10 really squeezed in there? Has anyone had 10 people at these tables that could let me know ? Thanks so much!
  2. Congratulations!!! Sounds great...Marchy 11th is fast approaching for us!!
  3. Maria, Just wondering when did you do the trash the dress pics like the one at the bottom of your post? Is it after the ceremony before the reception? Do you bring another dress to change into for the reception?
  4. We were going to do the same but then we were wondering how the transfering of people from the dinner to the pool for dancing would work out. Seemed like a lot of manuvering and transfering of decorations (for us) so we just decided to have everything at the poolside and make it a seamless transition. Just something to think about...
  5. i think the caprice and royal packages works well if you have a big group and are planning on having the 'semi-private' reception/dinner. I think that's what most of the upgraded cost covers. If you are having a private reception which you have to pay extra for anyways then you mind as well get the free package and use the $2500 difference in price to upgrade your cake, flowers and champange....plus paying for the private reception. Does that make any sense?
  6. Here the info I got from Riu: "Kindly inform you that in order to qualify for the Free Wedding Package 2010, the couple must have at least 10 rooms booked (20 persons as minimum). We do not require a maximum number of guests. The Free Wedding Package 2010 includes sparkling wine and cake for 20 persons only. The couple would need to pay an additional cost for the extra cake and wine for the rest of your guests." So according to the Riu Wedding Sales Coordinator there is no max size for the free wedding.
  7. We're thinking of planning a trip with our wedding guests to Rick's Cafe in March 2010. I was wondering what is the best way to get there from Rui Ocho Rios...by land or by sea? Has anyone chartered and Catamaran to take a large group? Or should we stick with the excursions offered at the resort? Or would a bus tour be better?
