  1. The people that i spoke to on here that were getting married on here were great people, wish i got to hang with them more, but thats something i should incourage to all of you. I can;t really think of anything else to say right now, i'll put some pics up soon.
  2. drinks. You have to try the electric lemon, its like a lime green slushy!! I also liked the baleys slushi, and ammereto sour slushy, great drinks. I think i started to speek mexican after about 10 of these... Eveything in this resort is spotless, really clean. And if you get your room and you don't like it because of the location, or its too loud because of the party pool, or you just want the third floor, dial 0 on the phone and ask for the front desk, they will change you. We got a room right across from the party pool, and i really enjoy the afternoon naps with my wife, if you know what i mean, they changed us to another room, 3rd floor, great view, and quiet.
  3. we got pictures from there photo guy, italian guy with glasses, really classy. He did a great job, he took a wake of pictures, we took 60 home in print, and all 250 of them on cd for just under 800. Not to bad. Great job with the gazboo decorating, didn't like the red carpet to much though, kinda looked orangey, and it was a kinda rugged carpet, so it looked like it would snag the dress, so we said no to the carpet. There is a jsut married cart that picks the ladies up and takes them down to the beach, the guys get to try to walk past the bars without temptation, didn't work out so good for me. Al in all it was a great time, eveything went great, and when it wasn't perfect, what the hell were in mexico!!
  4. we on;y had 8 people with us, was had like 6 more people trying to get in the front gate from cancun (friends of ours) they were there for about an hour and a half, i finally got a call 15 minutes from when i supposed to be at the alter, so i ran down to the front desk to find out they left. They later told us that the gaurds at the gate called teh police on them, they didn't know why. But the taxi guy told then to leave, just for there own sake. That was a mess. But an hour and a half, come on, we even told patricia (the wedding planner) that they were coming.
  5. The allicarts, we had the most luck with La flure, Mama Mia's, international, the grill, and chinese (can't remember what they called it), Not so much with tapinyaki, mind you the performance was great but the food had way to much butter in it. The spanish food...for me, well its a good thing they had the flamingo show (dancing) cause it distracted me away form the crappy food... Didn't go bak to la fondu, cause it was really bad the first time, there chocolate is really diffrent then ours, don't believe me, try their deserts at the buffet.
  6. just got back monday, had a blast everything was great! continental breakfest in the morning complete with oj and champain! Wedding went well, if you bring a ipod or mp3 player the guy will play your music if you want while your walking down the isle. If not he plays some mexican music. Food was good, we had allicate 6 of the nights. The dinner the day of the wedding doesn't count againtest your intitled 4. But we booked for the 5th and 6th time, and we got it anyways. They didn't even ask. It was our second time there, and everything was great again. The shows got a little better. But there was always something to do.
  7. no i don't mind we had a civil ceremony at our house, very relaxed. You can find out that information through city hall. We only told close members of family, just becasue we didn't want people to get pissed at us, so we just kept it small. Saving the party for the cocktail reception when we get back. We have 10 people going, kinda small but it will work. how many are you guys having come down Leslie?
  8. we arrive at 930am in mexico on monday morning. We took the vow renewal one, we got married already just to save the extra costs and hassle involved with getting married in mexico. But for sure will do a drink, My name is Mike and my wife will be Christine. When do you guys arrive?
  9. Thats kinda weird... and april 19 is my birthday....strange!!.. We went there last year, had a blast so we decieded to go against the grain of tradition and get married there. It is a great place. Some poor comunitcation from there though, since we were there, they must have went through 3-4 wedding planners so it tough to get eveything straight. But hopefully everything goes good.
  10. thats crazy..i am not sure...mabye in for some crappy weather. I'll find out what time.
  11. My name is Mike from hamilton, just got back from princess riviera in mexico, proposed to my girl friend, whoo hoo!, loved the place, and i think were going to get married there, no date yet..
