  1. Sorry, Zama's is on Isla Mujeres, a little island off Cancun. I actually spoke to my wedding planner and we agreed that my contract was already signed so she's actually paying it out of her pocket. I was trying to get ahold of Zama's though to talk to the manager.Anyone have a #? Thanks!!!
  2. Help! Does anyone have a phone number for Zama's?
  3. That sounds so cute! Do you mind sharing where you found the canvas beach bags?! I'm still debating about what type of gifts to give and I've been thinking of trying to take advantage of sale stuff, just not as organized as you! Thanks for any help! Clara
  4. Hi Everyone, I noticed some of the April brides are putting together oot bags and menus, etc. I'm not getting married until June but want to make sure I'm not too far behind... If you don't know how many people will actually come, are people estimating numbers in order to put the bags together and order products? Thanks for any help you can give me!
  5. I also have a contract with Zama's and haven't gotten back to my wedding planner...I am frustrated too and am not cool with paying more since I also have a contract and put down the deposit...
  6. Hey ladies, A few years ago I compared photobooks pretty extensively for a big trip we took. I probably compared 5 or 6 book options and finally chose photo.com - premium photo printing, sharing and organization because of the classy cover and exquisite binding. They're not overly expensive and there are lots of options for how to arrange photos on each page. What i liked about the cover is that they have an option for a hard colored cloth cover with a square/rectangle cutout that shows your photo from the first page. The colors are sharp and the photos are crisp. I've taken to making a photo book every year at Christmas (to give to my fi)to capture our year of photos. I always go with a black cloth cover. The books haven't shown any signs of age and I've been really pleased with them. Hope that provides at least one more option out there! Cheers, Clara
  7. I thought I read somewhere that he provides "cold fireworks". Does anyone know what these are? I was looking for fireworks that explode up in the sky. Has anyone heard of who might provide that and what the cost might be?!! Thanks so much in advance! Clara
  8. Oops, not sure if that website posted correctly. SunHorse Weddings's Photo Galleries at pbase.com here's another try... Clara
  9. I'm also doing a large wedding. We think we'll have 100-150 come down and we're going with Zama's Beach Resort on Isla Mujeres (if we can get a contract signed). Isla Mujeres is a tiny island off the coast of cancun. Very easy to get to from cancun itself. A big ferry will take you over. I'm also having all of our guests stay on the island. There are different options price-wise, which is great. Two hotels I recommend are Ixchel or Maria de la casa (actually not sure on the name of the second one). Anyway, Zama's is a restaurant/lounge that can accommodate a large group and it's much cheaper, plus it's a private beach and it's gorgeous! Check out sunhorse weddings website: pbase Artist SunHorse Weddings and you can see photos of Zamas, this link posts great pictures of set ups you can choose from. Good luck! Clara

    New Isla Bride

Hi New Isla Bride! I just joined this forum today and am soooo excited to see you're getting married at Zama's. I am hoping to get married there on June 27, 2009. We're penciled in and I'm just trying to figure out the wedding planner and all of that before putting down a deposit. Are you using Tiffany at Sunhorse? Were they (Zama's or your wedding planner) able to give you prices yet for the site, or the new menus? I think we're going to have about 100 people there, so I'm wondering where everyone will go. I've only seen photos of the place, and only fleeting ones of the new palapa... Welcome again and I look forward to sharing details! By the way, there are great photos of set-ups and ceremony's on this link: Zama Beach Club Photo Gallery by SunHorse Weddings at pbase.com - especially if you scroll to the bottom. Cheers, Clara
