  1. Hi Ladies! Hope everyone's planning is going well and stress free!!! I am trying to decide what to do after the wedding. We are having a small wedding, 15 guests, so i dont really think i want a cocktail reception. I know we can have a restaurant meal but i wanted to do something different. I read somewhere that there is an evening boat trip you can take and have a meal and drink etc. I cant find the thread now tho!! Does anyone know anything about it or am i imagining it Thanks!! xx
  2. Wow Sharla great Review! Your pics are amazing and you look stunning! Im getting married at the Moon Palace next June and am so reassured now that i have read your review, Just a few questions... Nag,nag, nag! What Gazebo did you get married in? What Photographic package did you chose? I have decided to go with the resort photographer after seeing your pics so now i need to decide on the type of package.... Its decisions all the time... STRESSED!! XXX

One couple, and the other girl went in a group for a girlie holiday...everyone loved it! Whats your thoughts on photographer and reception while your there then? I really want an outdoor reception! Just depends how many people go, because it is pretty expensive, so will only do it if enough people go so we can scrap the reception back home for it! xxx I Just posted a question regarding the photographer. We were all set to use the resorts photographer and upgrade the package but having read some of the other posts, it seems that the majority of brides use an outside photographer. I have spoken to a few photographers who have quoted me quite reasonable prices. The only problem would be getting them on site as the Moon Palace state 'no outside vendors'. Hopefully some of the other girls can help me with that proble. As we are having a small wedding 10-15 guests we are'nt having a reception, just a cocktail hour and a meal at one of the restaurants. Just need to decide on which restaurant now. Have you chosen a dress yet? I just orderd mine, its a Farage dress, never heard of them untill i tried it on. Its got a very spanish look to it. Cant wait to wear it now!! xx

As soon as I get anything I will post it for you guys. Just curious- Has anyone looked into the suites they have at the MP? Any idea on the cost? Hi SouthCarolina, Congrats on booking your wedding!! Less than a year to go!! My wedding is on the 17th June!! I am looking at booking an outside photographer, can i ask how you have gone about it as I know the Moon Palace are supposed to be strict on outside vendors?? Also were Tamms reasonable? I am looking at Cancun Studios but am unsure how to get them on site!!? xx

They are really good, I'd be over the moon with them. However, like yourself, I'm a UK bride to be, and I've decided I want to get an outside vendor. Moon Palace don't let you use outside vendors, however if they are a guest at the hotel, there hasn't been a problem in the past...but it just means you need to pay for your photographers accommodation...so it does work out pretty expensive...i've worked out for Elizabeth Medina to do my wedding, for 6 hours, then her accommodation at moon palace, then TTD session the next day, it will be £3000 (GBP). It is alot of money, and I know there are cheaper photographers there, its just totally down to personal preference. As for the gazebo's, I like the Tucan one best...because it has the big red walk for you to walk down! So when are you getting married lady? Wedding is booked for June 17th next year, im so excited now !!Having found this site im really glad we chose to have a destination wedding, all my questions are getting answered and there are no negatives! Thanx for the link to the photos will check it out now. I was leaning towards the Tucan Gazebo.... Think you just made up my mind for me!!!! When are you getting married? Have yiu been to the moon palace before? xx
  6. Hi Ladies! Have had my confirmation through for the wedding!!! Yipee! Just looking for some advice on a few issues i have; Photographer... How good is the resorts own? How much would an outside photographer cost? Gazebo... Im having a small wedding, would like the ceremony to be in a more secluded location, which gazebo is best for that? Any tips or opinions would be welcome!!!!! Your knowledge is so valuable! xx
  7. Hey KBMD + Mtomas, thanks for the tips. I am also having a reception back home. Great idea about displaying the cancun photos that would be a really nice touch. We are having a blessing ceremony followed by an evening party so i get to wear my dress twice! I will consider the cocktail hour but it does seem a bit pointless just for the 12 of us, i just hope theres a nice bar where we can relax and have a drink before we sit down to eat.
  8. OK i am officially obsessed. 2 posts in 10 mins!! I just keep thinking of more questions!! I am only have a small wedding, 10 guests in total. I know we get a reception meal afterwards but I wanted to know if there was a private area small enough to accomodate us where we can have a few a few cocktails before the meal? I dont want to go anywhere to public and I dont want to be in huge room where our little party of 10 will look silly! Any ideas or advice ladies? xx
  9. Lor Thanks for the advice about the make up trial run. Im definitley gonna get that done. I'll prob get a makeover done over here and then take my own make up and a photo of how i want it to look. Another question thats prob been answered already in this thread but i cant find it. I want to get married in the Chapel Gazebo but i've noticed a few people have said that they were allocated a gazebo and didnt get to choose. Will I be able to request the Chapel Gazebo? I really love the look of it in the pics i've seen, i would'nt want to get married anywhere else!!! Thanks for all your help ladies, i really feel like i have control of things because of this awesome site!! xx
