First of all, love your flowers! They're going to look amazing  :)

Your bridal shower and bachelorette look like lots of fun! I'm also doing a paint night outing with my local friends who aren't able to join us in Mexico. Hopefully our art turns out as well as yours. I love that it's a tropical scene - perfect for your upcoming tropical wedding.

@, @@ashhtayy, @@krystalball, @deecol- Yes, my celebrations were fun! All my friends are married with kids, so they decided to leave out the male entertainment. I was completely OK with that. Thanks for the compliments on my outfits!

The paint nite was actually easier than I expected. They walk you through step by step. And, the tropical picture was by chance, but was very appropriate!

I can't believe how fast it is coming. We will be leaving for Fort Lauderdale in 1 month from today!

My flowers arrived and they look great! Here is my bouquet:

  • 2 weeks later...

We ordered T-shirts from custom ink for everyone to match on the first day of the cruise. We went with one color for the print and only on the front because it decreases the cost. They only cost about $7.50 each and were really easy to order. They have free shipping (at least in the US). I'll try to remember to post a picture once I receive them. Here is the proof we got:

Well, my most recent drama has been our cake topper. We ordered it back in December from etsy. It is a customized topper that will look like us. She said she was booking out 2-3 months in initial conversations, so that worked in our timeline and we ordered. Once we paid, she said we would have our topper by March 16th and she would send us the proof about 1 week prior for approval. Well, March 9th came and went and we hadn't heard anything. I sent her an email and didn't hear back from her. Then, I sent an etsy message and still nothing. A few days later, I found another email address on her etsy page and emailed that. Finally, on March 19th (10 days after I should have gotten a proof and 3 days after I was supposed to have my topper) I finally got an etsy message from her. She said her father had a medical issue and she was behind on orders, but I should have the proof by the end of this week. I understand family emergencies, but she owns a business and should do a better job of communicating with clients. I hope she comes through as promised and we don't need to make any changes because it will still need to be shipped after she finishes it. We leave for the trip in about 2 weeks, so it is going to be cutting it close.

Here is the sample on her page:

@@cruisebride2016 I love that you are giving your guests t-shirts. We wanted to do tanks for all our guests but the cost ended up being too much. You got a great deal. We are now thinking we may just do tanks for our wedding party. Can't wait to see the actual tees once you get them.

Fingers crossed your etsy vendor steps up and you get your cake topper on top. It's so unique!

Good luck with the rest of your planning. You're so close!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
