I'm an American getting married in Rome in the spring of 2016. We're getting married in a catholic church with the reception being held in a small town about 50 minutes away. Any tips/tricks/advice?

What a dreamy location for a wedding -- I went to Rome about 8 years ago and ahhhh it's just so amazing there! Rome gives me life ;)  Shooting a wedding in Italy is on my bucket list!!!

I guess with the distance of the ceremony and reception being so far, it would be good to try and arrange transportation of some sort for your guests. Definitely utilize the search function up top for "Rome wedding" to see if there are any other brides that have experienced planning a wedding there. Advice from other brides who've had their wedding in your same region is always so useful! Also might be a good idea to see if you can actually find a planner who can help you out there as his/her expertise would likely be of great use to you as far as getting from site to site. Another option is turning to advice from your vendors. Can your reception venue give you any assistance? Or perhaps you can turn to your photographer for advice, if you're utilizing a local photographer. Wedding vendors are great resources for info and can often times lead you in the right direction -- all you have to do is ask!

Hope that helps and best of luck!  :D
