Wedding At Casa Dorada

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I am looking to have my wedding in Cabo in May of 2016. I am debating between Casa Dorada and Villa Del Palmar. Does anyone have any advice?

Was Casa Dorada to noisy/crowded for a wedding? I would do it on the deck and not the beach.

Please advise! :)

Hi!!

My fiance and I just got home today from Cabo and we stayed the week at Villa Del Palmar as we searched venues for our June 2016 wedding. I will say this.... I will never stay at Villa Del Palmar ever again and would most certainly not get married there. At no fault of their own ....there is absolutely NO beach left and no way to access the beach at all from the resort. If you desire a beach like sand in your toes wedding....you wont get one at Villa del Palmar. Our room in which we stayed in was so out dated and smelled of foul mold. Not to mention that we had to change rooms 3 times before we go into a room that did not smell so bad it would turn your stomach. I would never want my friends to spend that type of money for a resort as this will be a first visit for many. As we unpacked our suitcase today, all of our clothes carried that horrid smell home. :(

I would highly recommend not hosting anything at Villa Del Palmar. Estancia and Arco may be a better choice for your money!....and nose.

Happy hunting! That is what I am doing now...

here are the resorts we toured that I am requesting RFP's for:

Casa Dorado - AMAZING!

Riu Palace

Pueblo Bonito -Rose and Cabo

Good Luck!!

My fiance and I also stopped by Casa Dorada, Villa Estancia / Archo / Palmer when we were in search of a wedding venue in Cabo back in March. We were not looking for a beach ceremony so the Villa properties were out of the question for us. But here is what we found about Casa Dorada.

This place had the BEST physical spot dedicated to ceremony and reception. It had a good view and nice large area for dinner and dancing. The cost was also on point. But there were two major downers we found. The first was the fact that they are in a prime location for cruises to dock so at any given day, you run the risk of having a cruiseship in the background of your pictures. When we asked about it, the wedding representative also stated that that was a high possibility. In fact, it was even in one of the pictures they send in the wedding package.

If that isn't really an issue (I know you can blur things through photography), then theres the popular Mango Deck right next door. If you are having an evening wedding, chances are you will have to say your vows over some booty music blasting next door.

Hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
