I sure hope a Destination wedding budget of 10k for 30guests is good! I'm in the planning stages now but all of the hotels and packages seem so expensive when you look at the add ons.

I had 45 guests and my wedding only cost $6000. That was wedding day only

Originally my budget was a few thousand lower than it is now. The only thing I would say is to make sure to expect more. Once you start planning there will always be additional costs that you didn't expect. For me, it was paying in American when the Canadian dollar is so low..I've basically had to add 30% to everything that I have to purchase is USD.

It depends on what the 10k budget is inclusive of is it just for the wedding, or does that include your stay as well. My stay was the most expensive part around 6k since we are going for 2 weeks.

We have budgeted 20k for our wedding. We are paying for our flight and accommodations as well as my FI parents, my mom and our photographer. We are receiving 4 frees since we have 60+guests. My FI and I are also staying for two weeks. Our guests are only staying for 1 week. We have 11kg each extra luggage. A lot of things that I have noticed with our hotel at least, is everything is over priced. You can get a much better deal buying things here and taking them with you.

Agreed with the buying things here. My FI and I have bought some of our decor here to bring down and save on the cost of decor. There are obviously some costs that you can't really avoid paying while you're down there (ie/ photographer).

I purchased all my table cloths/table runners/centrepieces and even floral.

Planning is going good, I also plan on bringing a lot down with me. I completely agree that they nickel and dime you a lot. I hate the vendor fee at $300 it is ridiculous and on top of it you have to pay for a $90 day pass also per vendor. Honestly all that fee is, is a penalty for not using there vendors which is ridiculous since I am bringing there resort a lot of business. So I am trying to cut corners where I can by bringing chair sashes table runners, center pieces, bridesmaid bouquets, etc.

How is your planning going?
