Hello All -

I'm Lori & I am marrying Jim on June 27, 2015 in St Lucia!  I just booked the dates & the hotel (St James Club Morgan Bay).  I am planning on doing this on my own without a wedding planner or a travel agent - We are paying for my parents, his mom & his 4 kids to come to the ceremony.  I am not expecting many others to attend.  We are planning a backyard wedding celebration July 18th after we get back.  I guess my next steps are STD cards and getting that out soon!!!!!

Hope to get some great advice here!!!!

Hi,

My fiancé and I booked St. James's Club Morgan Bay for May 2015. We are now in the midst of waiting for the wedding coordinator to get in contact with us to begin the planning process.

We have sent out our Save the Dates and our website is up and running.

What kind of advice are you looking for?

I'm glad to have found someone else who has booked St. James's. Looking forward to sharing with you over the next year of planning!

So glad to find someone who also booked St James - Are you dealing with Pamela?  She just sent me the information or the questionnaire to fill out - so just started working on that.   I am not sure what kind of package I will do there, since it will be such a small wedding.  Hoping to get married at the gazebo on the beach.

Keep me posted on your plans - you are way ahead of me - I am just now trying to put together save the date cards - I am having trouble with the verbiage.  Anyone is welcome to come to St Lucia, but we know most will not, so I am trying to word it so they know the ceremony is happening there and then they are invited to our home for a wedding celebration in July.   I also have been debating the wedding website.....  Not sure about it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
