How Long Will You Honeymoon?

I know many of us are going to our destination venue a day/days early prior to the wedding. How long are you anticipating staying at your destination/honeymoon location after your wedding?

 

My FI and I are going 3 nights early and getting married on day 4, but we are taking his kids (9 and 13) and having a "family vacation" prior to the wedding. The day after the wedding, we will send the boys home and start our honeymoon. What I'm struggling with is he keeps mentioning that we will only be there for a few more days. Part of me keeps thinking, "I only get 2 full days with you after we are married then we have to go home?" (the other days would be travel days. I kinda feel like I'm being selfish but the other part I think I'm paying for all of this wedding and I 3 nights alone? Even our first night as a married couple we will have his boys because their flight doesn't leave until the next day - not very romantic but the way it has to be in order to include them in the wedding.

 

I'm all for the kids being apart of the wedding but it feels like I'm giving up tons. Any thoughts? Any ideas how to approach this without coming across tacky/selfish?

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
