Hello! I am new to this site ...I have spent a day or two looking over threads and have gotten sooo much valuable info!! I haven't secured my date or anything with GSP, but after looking and looking, this is the resort I've finally decided on. I have stressed over where to have it and LOVE GSP for the price and accomodations. It looks amazing and I want my guests to feel like spending over $1000 to come to my wedding was worth it! I have talked to my travel agent and everything, but the hardest part is getting in touch with this wedding coordinator. Has anyone else had this problem? It worries me a bit! I emailed on Monday and have not heard back yet...and I really want my date to be secured! Did anyone have to switch their date because it was booked already?? Also, I LOVE the photos i've seen on here from Del Sol photography. Have any of you used them and what are their prices like? Do they have an agreement with the resort so that I can get a good deal if I go with them? Sorry for all the questions!! cheesy.gif

hello there again... with the coordinator it usually takes mine 1 or 2 days to reply not more than that...when you are ready to secure they will send you a wedding a long checklist, you dont have to have all that information completed. to secure you mainly need the gazebo and time and date. They will ask for a 200 deposit. Regarding Del Sol, I also loved their pics but they are almost 2 times more expensive than the one offered at GSP, sadly they have no connection that I know off with the hotel, so you will still need to pay the 200 fee for them to take pics there. Hope this helps.

THanks for the replies! I have my date secured for June 7, 2014. I am so excited! We booked the sunset gazebo at 4pm and have the chill out party from 6-10. I loved Del Sol but they are $1000 more than the photographer I chose. I chose Dean Sanderson...I love his photos and think he will do a great job! What has everyone else planned so far?

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
