Getting Married in Italy 2014

Hi everyone,

I am getting married in Italy next summer and would like some advice on the wording of my save the dates. I am going to be sending out postcard save the dates. Here is what I have so far that would go on the back and would love some opinions. Is it ok to include both dates?

Well, itâ€s really happening.

Of course, you wouldnâ€t expect us, to do the usual would you?

That would be too easy! So…

Please save these dates.
The week of Saturday June 28th
2014 to Saturday July 5th 2014
To join us as we formalize our bond, in Fano, Le Marche, Italy.
                                 &

Saturday August 9th 2014
For a wedding celebration BBQ (Formal Invitation to Follow)

With love,
Daniel & Natalie

Thanks,

Natalie

Hello Natdan,

Congratulations for your wedding in Italy. I live in Italy in 2008 and there it was I met my Italian future husband.

I am from Spain and we are living here now from four years ago but we have both decided to go to Riviera Maya!!

I really love Italy so I am sure you are going to love the place. If you have any questions, maybe I could help you. Ask for doubts or Italian phrases ; )

So about your information, well my experience is that we are not going to make a home reception just because we wanted to have only our real wedding at Mexico and not other celebrations in Spain and Italy.

I have read some threat at this website of a lot of brides having problems because they told both dates at the same time at the invitation so many guests decided to not travel to the DW and go only for the AHR.

My advice is anyway to not write the home reception info at your invitation. You are sending invitations to your wedding that will be in Italy. Informing about AHR I think it gives minor importance to your DW... but this is only my opinion.

Hope to be helpful!

Congratulations and welcome to the forum! I agree with Carlota. I did not include the AHR on my Save the Date. I may on the invitation, but i'm not 100% decided on that right now. Mine will be a casual backyard party so I will probably send e-vites for mine a month or so in advance.

How fantastic to be married in Italy!! My FI and I are marrying in Montepulciano, Italy in just 81 days. Here are my suggestions.... Don't include the AHR on the save the date. Send an invite for that 8 weeks out from the date and that should give people enough time to make that party. Also, instead of with love, use "Con tanto amore". It will get people a little more excited. There are nice stock images or drawings that you can buy to use as the background. I did that for my AHR invites. I have the image posted in my photos. One more small thing... There are some comma mistakes. If you would like me to suggest the fixes, I will.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
