Hi! Newbie over here! I got engaged in St. Martin this past March and I'm now planning my wedding for 2014. My fiancé and I want to get married in Anguilla and so far the planning is stressing me out! If there are any other brides here planning an Anguilla wedding or a wedding at a destination that doesn't offer all inclusive resorts I would love to hear about your experience.

Ah Bigcitybride, my sister is having her destination wedding at the Viceroy Anguilla in July 2015!!!  They are going down July of 2014 to book the rooms, plan the menus, events, etc. & put down the deposit, but they have already been in touch with the wedding coordinator at the hotel, the photographer they are using & their florist.  She's a little crazy about planning, but they're giving their guests a welcome/rehearsal dinner at Picante, which is a great mexican restaurant on the island.  Then they're doing ceremony on sunset deck, cocktail hour around one of the pools & reception at Coba.  They are then treating their guests to the breakfast buffet the next morning.  Half of their guests are staying in two villas including them, family, bridesmaids, groomsmen etc. and they are having the kitchens stocked so that there is always food available.  I know some people hire private chefs though, but that gets pricey FAST!  For the guests not staying in the villas, they are giving each one a $100 resort credit to help offset cost of food.

She is using Derrys Richardson for photography, his work is beautiful & prices are very reasonable, susan Croft is wonderful as well.  She is also going to use Black Orchid Florists for flowers & lighting, but has spoken to Couture Concepts about a few things as well.

Anguilla is absolutely stunning & if you do go with it, I am sure you are going to have the most beautiful wedding!

Hi, I got married in Anguilla in 2011. I used Black Orchid Florists and they were INCREDIBLE! Literally, they handled everything for me! My photographer was Susan Croft from Susan Croft Photography and she was worth every single penny. We look at our amazing wedding photos every single day! I had my reception at DaVida in Crocus Bay, ceremony at Bethel Methodist Church and welcome dinner at Picante. Feel free to ask me any questions!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
