We are thinking of saying a few words to each other before the traditional vows. I am a more logical less creative brained person. After pouring over many examples online this is what I came up with:

 

 

It seems like only yesterday we started our lives together and allowed our love to bloom. I know in my heart that we are meant to be together. In you I have found much more than I ever hoped, more than I ever dreamed, a man could be. In your arms I feel happy, safe, and protected. You see me with your heart and you always make me feel beautiful. I love you because you make me laugh out loud on a daily basis. I smile every time I wake up to you and when I come home to you. I love you not only for who you are but for who I am when I am with you. I love you because you have made my life a beautiful life; every happy moment is brighter when I share it with you. The many little things you do to please me touch me more than you know. You are the love of my life and you make me happier than I could ever imagine and more loved than I ever thought possible. We have done so much together and shared so many wonderful memories and yet we have a lifetime of memories that are awaiting us. My love for you is never ending.  I cherish every second we are together and will continue to cherish our love forever and never take it for granted.

 

I would love some feedback. Criticism is welcome.

I love it!!!! it makes it about you & your relationship together, which is what the ceremony is about to begin with. As long as it comes from the heart, you can't go wrong.

 

We did something similar - said our personal vows before the traditional "to have and to hold" vows. We each wrote our own personal vows, and didn't know what they said until we said them to each other. It was by far one of the most memorable parts of the ceremony.

 

So make the ceremony uniquely yours, and don't worry about what someone else things is or isn't right to say - it's your day, your marriage. Do what's right for you!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners.
