Cabo San Lucas wedding, not on the beach!

My fiance and I are interested in a wedding in Cabo San Lucas. However, we don't want the ceremony on the beach, we want to have it overlooking the ocean. I have been to Cabo in the past and know that it has some beautiful mountains/hills that would provide some awesome views of the ocean. Does any have recommendations on venues NOT on the beach?

Sunset da Monalisa has a GORGEOUS view, and you get married on the terrace that's made of rocks, with small pools beside it. I'm getting married at Casa Dorada on the terrace. I didn't want get married on the beach either.

Hi Ladies!

I'm also in the same position.  I don't want to get married at the beach after watching so many YouTube videos and seeing how awkward the bridal party looks trying to navigate through sand! I LOVE Sunset da Mona Lisa!  I'm hoping we can have our January 2014 wedding there!  Overall, the prices aren't TOO expensive, but things start to add up when you consider chair rentals, etc.  I've also been told they require that you hire a WC.  I'm hoping we can do this and stay within our budget!

My WC is great- she's done weddings there I think and is realistic about budget (so far). And she worked with me on her price, she's great! Her name is Illeana Reyes, and is very responsive. I like her a lot. But yes, you def need a WC for sunset da Monalisa. It's so gorgeous! I also think Illeana said you can use their chairs for free in the reception, and a buffet style for dinner if you're trying to cut costs,, just some ideas. :) Good luck!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
