Excursions in the Mayan.

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!  What  a great find this site is for info!  Just wondering if anyone could recommend what excursions to do in the Mayan Riviera.  Our wedding is at the Now Jade April 23, 2013 and I am trying to decide what things to do while we are there.  Besides our wedding of course!  There is soooo much to do its a little overwhelming!  I have reserved a spot to go to the "Jungle Place" to hang out with the rescued spider monkeys already.  And of course the ruins will be on our list.  But if anyone could definitely recommend a tour or place thats a must see and do I would appreciate it!  And should one book these things prior to arriving at your resort or can you just book while you are there?  We have a daughter who will be 4 at the time of travel so kid friendly recommendations would be helpful!

Thanks!

Michelle

Hi Michelle,

We get married at the Now Sapphire in May 2013!  I just posted some ideas to our wedding website for our guests. From what I've been told through my TA is that there are known and trusted tour companies that have reps at the hotels. They may not be "rock bottom price" but at the end of the day at least I know that I'm not going to be strained by some no name just cuz we got a good price. I would get a good sense of what others want to do and then make those plans down there with the tour companies. Also, you may be able to escape for an adult outing since the Now offers child care. Good luck and you'll have to share lots of pics for me!!

Best,

Melissa

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
