Has anybody tried the Insulin Resistant Diet?
Amazon.com: The Insulin-Resistance Diet : How to Turn Off Your Body's Fat-Making Machine: Books: Cheryle R. Hart M.D.,Mary Kay Grossman R.D.

I really want to get the book and do this so I can be a skinny minnie for my wedding. Oh, and be healthy and not develop diabetes ofcourse.
I was diagnosed with insulin resistance last year and started diabetic medication this year to help, and I lost almost 20 pounds. But... now i have not been doing good, diet/exercise wise; and am starting to gain...
The diet sounds easy but then again so did every other book, contraption, pill, and video that I've tried.
I would love to hear if anyone has tried this or has lsot weight with insulin resistance/pre-diabetes and, or, PCOS.

Well, I got the book last night and read through most of it.
Basically it says to eat more protein in combination with carbs, what they call linking and balancing, no more than 30 gr of carbs every two hours balance with 14 grams of protein.
I'm excited to try eating this way, I hope it works. I want to lose at least 20 pounds by next year so I can find a slinky dress I can wear with a lot more confidence. Hopefully I get to post a review of this book and how awesome it worked for me...
