Cabo Wedding Resorts

Hi Everyone,   Im new to the forum, although I have been reading everyone's posts about different resorts for months! My fiancé and I have been engaged for a year and were planning our September 2013 destination wedding in Riviera Maya but then decided I just cant take the stress of planning a destination wedding in Mexico smack dab in the middle of hurricane season. At first I was optimistic and said nah it will be sunny on our wedding day with no hurricanes but its a year away and Im already stressing over the weather so imagine how I will be in the months leading up to it. So we have decided to switch to the other side of Mexico and look at having a destination wedding in the Los Cabos area. We are flying down for Labour Day weekend to do a bunch of site visits at 5 different resorts but right now my top two I am most excited to see are the Dreams and Barcelo Resorts, but I am also starting to become interested in the Sheraton Hacienda Del Mar but I cant figure out if it is all-inclusive or not.   I feel like I have soooo many questions and need so much help. One thing I keep seeing brides post is that they were able to get blocked rooms at the resort and wedding group prices and free nights for bride and groom or upgrade. I was just wondering how everyone did that because we attempted to use a travel agent here in Canada when we were planning it in Riviera Maya and their prices they got for the group were much more expensive then prices I could find myself online.   Any help or advice would be sooo appreciated!!   Thanks!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
