Greetings!!

Can you tell how excited I am :)

I am currently in the early stages of planning my destination wedding in Jamaica (The place I was born). I felt it was only appropriate to go back to my home and walk the sandy beaches down the aisle. I really wanted to have my wedding at Half Moon (after visiting twice I cannot seem to get that place out of my head), but felt it would be rude since most people would not fork out that kind of money to stay there. So we settled on the Iberostar; seemed to be a great option for our guest.

I hope you other brides can help me get started. I am so lost and have no idea what I am doing :)

OH BTW the soon to be hubby wants a say in all things wedding!! ARGH lol I wish he would just sit back and let me do it all but it's not happening. Any ideas on how to trick him to go along with whatever I suggest would be greatly appreciated :)

Haha I WISH my soon-to-be-hubby would care more. Everything is .."sure that sounds fine"... or "yea if you think so whatever". I'd love to sit back and do nothing for this wedding hehe.

Try overloading him with details... seemed to work for me ;-) hehe. For example "well the price from Edmonton is 1800 but we stop in this city, but from saskatoon is 1900 but its direct, and we have 64 from this city, but 3 could move to vancouver, but then one has to pay single occupancy price, and the other two don't really know eachother, and this person can't afford to move cities, and we can only get half as many rooms as we need from this city...." haha I have nightmares about booking this!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
