My fiance and I are planning on getting married in Hawaii sometime within the next 6 months. I personally am interested more in Maui then any other Island.

What I'm looking for..

a beautiful waterfall..

a sunset ceremony..

& a minister to marry us.

Any recommendations? I have my dress. I have found great airfare for the two of us.. in October. I'm super easy. I don't need all the fancy stuff. Just a great photographer and I will be the happiest girl alive.

Also, budget friendly hotels near the water somewhere? Any suggestions?

Thanks ahead of time for even reading! :) I look forward to reading the responses.

Aloha,

I am getting married on Maui in September and I also live here!  There are some BEAUTIFUL waterfalls here but they are limited to the rain forests and most require you to hike to them.  Others you can see from the road on the way to Hana (that is my experiance at least, I have only lived here for 3 years).   You are coming at a great time, off peak, so you should be able to get some great deals.  We ended up going with the Hyatt in Ka'anapali for our guests as well as a condo option in Lahaina (Outrigger Alu Nui) for the guests that are coming for the week.  We are getting married at the Olowalu Plantation House in Lahaina.....it is old world Hawaii and is right on the water.  It is fairly reasonable and BEAUTIFUL.   We searched and searched for a great photographer, as the pictures are SOO important to me and we ended up going with Natalie Brown....she is amazing!!  I hope that helps and CONGRATS!!!

My fiance and I are getting married in May next year.  I have assistance with Tracy from http://www.adreamwedding.net/ .  She has put together a package for us for ceremony, marriage license, minister, flowers, photographer, and musician.  I too am a very easy going bride and wanted the least amount of planning possible.  I am also using www.hawaii-aloha.com for my hotel, travel, car, and activities.  Ask for Abby, 1- 800-843-8771 ext 23
Good Luck and Congrats

Rachael

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
