Hey Merg!! Congrats, next July will be here before you know it!! I am gettting married in Playa del Carmen and we are having kids at our wedding as well. The solution... If you book at The Royal which is all adult, there is a sister resort right next door called The Gran Porto Real and that one is kid friendly!! The kids are allowed to come over for the wedding/reception but that is it. Now if you are a guest at The Royal you have all access to the Gran Porto which is great cause it's like you have 2 resorts to have fun at!! This worked best for us as we watned to stay in an all adult but knew there were kids coming so we figured this was our best option!! Let me know if you have any questions... Happy planning!

We used a TA and she went thru a travel company called GOGO vacations which gaves us a great deal!! Basically the more people you book the better the price.

Gran Porto: 2 adults-oceanview jr suite-4nights/5days-flight-transportation to and from resort- and of course all-inclusive

approx $2000.00

The Royal: 2 adults-oceanview jr suite-4nights/5days-flight-transportation to and from resort- and of course all-inclusive

approx $2400.00

Umm I looked at the Azul Sensatori, I loved the rooftop weddind idea! Plus it just looked so pretty. But They didnt have the date I wanted and I wanted to be closer to the shops and nightlife. The Azul Sensatori is out a little ways from downtown Playa. The new Paradisus looks really nice! They have 2 different sides one is adult only and the other side is for families. Since they hadnt opened yet when I was booking, I was worried that I wouldnt like it cause I hadnt seen all the pics. I have looked at some of the brides pics on here and it looks really really pretty!! I looked at tons but those where the ones that stuck out to me!

I am looking into next July and i have both families and couples so I want to find a place that offers a great price to accommodate everyone! My deal breaker is a place that allows completely private receptions but do not charge you a lot to host it

I think a lot of factors go into finding the perfect place for each bride.  If you are having a lot of guests, you may want to look at the Palace resorts.  They offer fantastic incentives for large groups.  i.e. if you have so many people you get unlimited private functions (including the private reception dinner).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
