Hi, Post Brides at Secrets Maroma Beach!

 

Me & my fiancé are getting married there this December 8th, 2012. Has anyone been there at this time? Hope the weather is good! I went for a site visit this January and the weather was perfect low 80's and 70's at night but i'm from chicago so we are having snow storms at that time so thats a vacation for all me & our guests!

 

My wedding planner is Cecilia she has been helpful but some things i see she lacks on telling me everything until i question her about it then she shares all the information with me.

 

Can anyone recommend a good photographer or did they use the resorts(how was it?) I bought the Secrets Ultimate Wedding Package which includes a lot but i'm def upgrading a lot.

 

As for music any suggestions? I def want a DJ and a live band. 

 

We are having our ceremony on the beach and cocktail hour and reception are still undecided.

 

I was thinking of having a welcome party on the beach/bonfire/BBQ? anyone do that?

 

I was also looking to hire someone for airbrush make up if anyone used a vendor for that

 

 

Anything is helpful! :) especially any good vendors!

Hi Kristen - Congrats + welcome to the forum! we encourage all our brides to hire a professional photographer to capture their irretrievable wedding "moments that matter" - even if they don't choose us. Resort photographers have been known to lose entire weddings - which is a loss you can't make up for.

Hi! I am getting married at Secrets Maroma beach in 3 weeks (Nov. 5th) and my wedding coordinator, Valeria is not very responsive. She has responded to one email and I am starting to get very nervous reading these threads with Brides who are corresponding with their coordinator daily. I would love to know anything you find out regarding SMB!

Congrats BrittanyLo! wow - 3 wks - not long to wait now! It must be nerve-wracking not to get email responses when you send them to your wedding co-ordinator, but in their defense, they do so many weddings that most of them are very busy too.

On the good side of that, they have lots of experience, and what may seem overwhelming to you - is their daily job, and one they're usually very good at.

I hope you hear from Valeria asap, but in the event she doesn't answer promptly, take comfort in the fact that she is probably working hard and looking after the details of many happy brides.

 

You're going to have an amazing wedding at the beautiful Secrets Maroma Beach - so I wish you all the best......Enjoy the journey, and all the Best! woot.gif

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
