I have a contract with Moon Palace for our May 26 2012 wedding, We had a great wedding planner, who was on top of every detail and was wonderful about getting back to us about all our questions and concerns. A few weeks ago we received and email that Ivis was no longer with the Palace Resort wedding dept and we were asigned a new planner, after waiting 3 wks for an appt for a meeting, which was yesterday @ 6pm, my partner Julissa finally gets a txt message about 6:30pm stating she was looking over our contact and wedding information and realized this was a same sex marriage (which they were aware of when we first made arrangements, our contact clearly states, Ms. Ana  & Ms. Julissa  for a Symbolic ceremony ) and the moon is a family resort not couples only!! I am well aware its a family resort I've have been a guest there twice, and loved it which is why we choose the Moon for our special day. the message was forward to our sales executive for an explanation and have not received a email or single call back after leaving a few message, I'm losing my mind, our famiy and friends are booked, our custom passport invites are done...everything was set in place all we needed to do was decide on our menu for the reception....does anyone know if there is someone else to call or speak to?? I can't beleiev after all these months of planning, only 2 months away from our big day and we get slapped in the face with this...

Hi Ana,

What ever happened with your wedding at Moon Palace?

I recently stayed at the Sun Palace with my fiancée and we are now thinking of having our wedding at Moon Palace but now I'm a little worried after reading your post!

Please post an update if you can, I would love to hear about the service you received from them.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
