Princess Cruisese Wedding

I've noticed most of the cruise weddings are on Carnival. Is anyone having a wedding or HAD a wedding on Princess Cruises? I'm just dying to know what to expect. I'm a bit nervous and worried it might not be the way I expect it because you have such little involvement and no freedom with vendors.

If anyone just had one I would LOVE to hear about it.. from the ceremony to reception and how the photographer and hair and make up was!!  Any tips would be very much appreciated also =)

I'm booked on a 7 day California Coastal Cruise on the Sapphire. It was originally suppose to go to Mexico and Princess kept telling me they were pulling out of Mexico due to safety reasons and that all cruise lines were going to stop doing the Mexican Riviera due to passenger safety reasons which I found out after some research and making a few escalated calls to upper management was a lie and just something they were told to say so the passengers wouldn't be upset.

Anyway, just had to vent that little bit because I was pretty disappointed and was looking forward to a more tropical cruise. A lot of my guests are from Australia as my fiance' is from there and have already paid in full so there is no going back now.

Has anyone had a wedding on Princess or attended a wedding aboard a Princess Cruises ship? I noticed most cruise weddings are on Carnival.

I am dying to know how your experience was from the ceremony, to the reception, as well as the quality of the photographer, flowers , and hair and make up were!! And would appreciate any tips or advice you can give =)

I am quite nervous because of only having to use all of the cruiselines vendors. I don't know if I should go through the hassle of trying to sneak a photographer onboard.

I'm getting married on the Sapphire Princess in May doing a 7 day California Coastal Sailing with a stop in Ensenada.. It was originally a Mexican Riviera cruise, but was changed for "business needs". I was really bummed about that change, but I won't get into it because it is a long story.

Also, I'm getting married harborside in San Diego and since I'm pretty local (from Los Angeles) some of my guests who can't make the cruise can come to the wedding for the day. I would love to hear from you if you would like to share =)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
